I leave for class in a little over an hour. My instructor got good ratings on RateMyProfessor, but was said to be very very hard, just also very approachable and very motivated to help students succeed. I think A&P is a tough class anyway. I do suspect it will be a little easier this term...once you know how the body systems work molecularly they do seem to mimic one another.
Good luck to you too! Glad to have another body to bounce ideas and share study tips with :)
Ya'll I am so miserable in AP2!!!
I LOVED ap1 this summer! I had a great prof, he was so "laid back" and the lectures were so understandable and flew by. It wasn't easy, but he made it make sense.
The prof I have now is treating us like we are in boot camp for a fast paced medical school! It's that intense!!!
Hope you are faring better than me!!!
who is on the in-DO-crine system? (LOL that's what a classmate said.. yikes!!)
Indocrine? thats funny!! your AP 2 professor sounds like my AP 1 professor....he was horrible...hes a neuroscientist...smart as a whip, but off the top crazy!!! we are starting with the blood and muscles...tonite was night one...my professor APPEARS normal..one could always hope...when did you start your class Natasha?
I took A&P 1 this summer as well. The instructor I had was easy-going and really helped us out in both lab and lecture. Now I'm a little worried because my A&P 2 teacher this fall has been said to be lazy (even on Rate My Professors.com) and all he's done is read off the slides..kinda boring. I have lab tonight so I have to see how that goes!
Hey there everyone!
I hope you all don't mind that I join this thread. I had started another thread because I couldn't find one the other day. So glad you are all here.
Well, I'm on week 2 for the class. Taking A&P 2 with Anthropology (for humanities elective).
So far, we've been going over the endocrine system. All those dang hormones, i'm feeling loopy!! Trying to get them memorized, know their target organs, and effects...ugh...i think my brain is on overload. We are starting Chapter 18 on Thursday, which is on blood i believe..lol.
Then we will have our first exam.
The instructor I have is very informative but goes a little fast. My hand hurts from all the note taking.
We also had our first lab experiment today. Which is very different from any other labs that i've had before. It's all on computer. Weird, different, but not too bad.
Thanks again for letting me join this thread!

Anyone else taking it this fall? I start tomorrow! We are beginning with the endocrine system. After taking A&P I over the summer, the syllabus for the fall term looks leisurely! :chuckle
