Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone,

I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread for A&P II. Does anyone know if there's a process to request a thread being made sticky?

Has anyone been getting a jump start on class by reading ahead? I found my Prof's powerpoint notes online, so I'm making some flash cards as well :)

Peace,

Cathie

I posted this on the AP I site as well as I am posting it here. I have sent my AP I and II notes and PowerPoints to several AP students on this site. I hope they are helping each of you. I am enclosing websites that I used to help me succeed in both AP classes.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!! We're nearing the end of the semester for A&P11 thankfully, and I've got my last exam on Tuesday regarding the urinary and reproductive systems before our final comprehensive exam on Dec. 6th! I've got to do well on this test and my final in order to get a B for the class. I've looked over all the links you've posted and a lot of this will be very helpful. I'm saving your post to my favorites list! Thanks again!!! I'm taking Micro (human pathogens) next semester so I hope to find some resources for that as well during my short break after the fall semester to be well prepared! ;)

You are very welcome. I start Micro in Jan, it is part of our core nursing courses. I will keep you posted on any sites I find and the notes I take as well. When do you start Micro?

I'm taking Micro and Lab in January as well. I only have that and Math 130 which is Pre-Calculas Algebra left to take which is a good feeling knowing that I'm at the end! I'm taking Nutrition also just to learn about it which is very helpful to know in nursing but it's not a requirement. It use to be a requirement but they took it off the curriculum for whatever reason. The fall 08 class admission has letters of acceptance into Charity (N.O.) in mid December and you best believe I'll be checking my mailbox daily! :)

Starting AP II tomorow. By the way...what is a sticky???

A sticky is a posting that does not move. It is always there for you to be able to find. Whereas the ones below this "sticky" section rotate depending on people posting and people starting new threads. Welcome to the club.

So....is anyone about to pull their hair out because their Professors are trying to squeeze in a million things before the semester ends?? I have two weeks of classes left (currently have 3 lectures and 2 labs left) and I still have a lab quiz (tomorrow) a huge test (next Monday) and a lab practical (next Tuesday.) Not to mention, I had my lecture test on muscles today.

Oy vey.

I know what you mean! Thankfully, I've only got one class of lecture left before our finals which is a comprehensive test of EVERYTHING these past 3 months! WE WILL SURVIVE!

OMG.. Well, I'm new to the board, but I figured now would be as good a time to post as any! My A&P II final is cumulative, but covers about 4 modules from A&P I!!! I saw the objectives and started freaking out. I emailed the professor, and he was like "yup, scary huh?" so not happy! I'll be so glad when I'm finished with this course! I'm taking A&P II and Intro to Pharmacology this semester. Next semester, I'll take Nutrition and Intro to Sociology. I work full time, so 2 classes is the most I like to take and still keep my sanity!

Welcome to the boards. You'll find soooo many awesome links and sites to get information from on here. I absolutely love this place! Good luck with your comprehensive too. My final is this Thursday.

My A&P11 is officially over!!!!! I am soooo happy and relieved! I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted. It was definitely a tough three months with a very hard instructor. Her tests were UNBELEIVABLE! When I was told that with this teacher we had to know the physiology of everything inside and out, upside and down, forwards and backwards in order to make the right multiple choice decisions for tests, they weren't exaggerating! You had to really sort out the process of everything in order to answer correctly and all the choices given sounded good if you didn't know your material. I finished the class with a B (86%) and believe me I'm happy with that grade.

I'm gonna soooo enjoy this 5 week break until next semester! ;)
