Ok, a thread like this is inevitably started every semester and since I just got home from registering I thought I'd take the opportunity to start the thread for this coming Fall. Who's with me and what other classes will you be taking, if any. Aside from A & P 1 I'm taking sociology....
Good Luck everyone!!!!
I started classes on the 18th too. It doesn't seem *too* bad as of yet , but i also have a leg up on the competition as I've completed 2 Chem courses before and pretty much know the first 3 chapters like the back of my hand. One woman came up to me after it was over and she was shaking her head and saying "i'm soooooooo confused!" Some people get it faster than others :-/
It also helps that I'm taking this along with General Bio and Bioethics. All 3 courses complement each other and it's cool that I learn the same thing in 2 or 3 different classes. :)
wow do or do not, you're really lucky you've already taken chemistry and have a good background in it! i'm pretty much starting from scratch, i haven't taken chem in about 4 yrs- plus she had never tought it before and wasn't the original chem teacher she just taught anatomy!
[color=#00bfff]if i come across something i totally do not understand, would you be willing to maybe help me?! if not that's ok but it doesn't hurt to ask! well hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!
Started CA&P I last week with a fantastic teacher (MD) who is really funny, interesting and cares about us learning the material. Our first test/practical is on Monday over Chapters 1-4, so it's a busy study weekend for me!
I'm also taking this course along with micro and molecular bio and finding they all compliment each other beautifully.
As for the Chem being difficult for some, I would recommend going online at the book's website, studying the animations etc. and take the practice quizzes. http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/classware/infoCenter.do?isbn=0072829532
I don't believe you need to create an account to sign into the resources section. Good luck!

join the club!! i took a science brush-up when i first started studying for my first degree. the class was more chemisty than anything else, and i was totally lost!! i passed the course with the help of a tutor, but it drove me crazy!! fortunately now, all i have are a&p 1 and 2 and microbiology to complete...no chemistry at my school.

Oh yeah...a teacher that can maintain your interest in the material is real impotant. When I took the Basic Anatiomy class this past spring, I had the same instructor I will have for A&P class and lab and she was absolutely great!!
