Hey Everyone!!
SO! I was accepting to my Nursing Program (YAY!), but my school is about an hour away from where I live. So I decided to take some courses over the summer at another school so I {{hopefully}} don't have to drive into Pittsburgh 5 days a week. I called my school and got the classes all approved, so everything is good on that end.
I decided to take both A&P 1 and 2 over the summer. They are online courses with online labs and each a month long.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me to get through this!! I haven't ever taken an Anatomy class (not even in high school!!)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks bunches!!!!

Use the loads of A&P videos out there to solidify and understand certain topics. There should be a video for pretty much anything. There's also video series like Crash Course A&P that give a decent overview of the systems.
For the anatomy portion, I found using visual flashcards to be very helpful. I used Quizlet and put a picture of the feature, bone, etc in question in the "term" area and then the answer on the other side. I went over those until I knew each one.
Otherwise, I think some of the best study tools depends a bit on how you learn. I personally learned by going through the material, highlighting, and then making notes out of that. It gave me time to go back over the information and to learn/summarize it.

Flashcards and sticky notes were what got me through AP 1 and 2. I put sticky notes all over my bed frame, bathroom, fridge etc! Because those classes are mostly memorizing esp in AP 1 so the more you see it the more it sticks (no pun intended). I did my papers on diabetes mellitus type 1 in AP 1 and fetal circulation in AP2. Pretty easy topics. Cancer is a great topic but complicated to write esp in summer (imo).
Just keep looking at the pictures and notes when you get a chance, carry flashcards when you go to work or out even, check often. Good luck.
