Hello Everyone,

Recently I had a job interview with Aurora for a RN position. The interview went really well, and I also completed a job shadow as well. I have not heard anything since. I emailed the manager as a follow up and also the human resources person, but still nothing. Can anyone shed some light on the hiring process for me? I appreciate it!

They are notoriously slow

I'm gathering that! I just don't know when I should give up hope. In my profile it still says in process. Sigh :/ It's been a month.

In process means you are still in the running. I'd call at this point though, it can't hurt.

I know people it took 2-3 months and others only a week or two.

It took about 6 weeks to start for me. A prescreen, two interviews, and then hired. Be patient and good luck!

It took me about four weeks from start to finish. I just accepted an offer. I had a phone screen/interview, followed by an in person interview and a couple hours of shadowing.

What unit did you interview for?

Im going through the same thing. Had a interview with HR and the floor manager, they seemed to like me alot! Shadowed on unit and was suppose to hear something in 3 weeks. Heard nothing. Called and was told something about there not being enough preceptors and nothing being available till atleast June, so check back then and keep applying in the meantime. Emailed HR for a update, HR rep said they would get right back with me with info, that was over a week ago. So I dont know what happened. All my references were submitted and A+ I know for sure, and my application status still says in process. Color me confused. I really want to work there, everyone was so nice. Its hard seeing my friends get jobs and I come so close with nothing to show for me. :sorry:

Have you heard anything yet? What unit did you interview for?

For the cardiac unit. I still have to check back in June. Hr never got back to me but my application for it still says, "In progress." Can I even interview for other positions if it says that, I would think other units wouldnt bother calling me back if I already have a application that's "in progress". Cause Ive applied to other things and nothing.

You can keep applying and interviewing. I had an interview one place one week and one another week for a different spot.

If you haven't heard from them call the central hiring number and ask. Sometimes it takes a phone call

to find out what's going on.

I applied, interviewed and shadowed on a unit and despite calling, I heard nothing for about a month until I got a call from another unit to come interview. That manager asked me where else I had interviewed, I told her, and apparently the manager is not longer working for St. Luke's and that unit was not going to hire anybody until they got a new manager. Nobody had said anything any of the times I called when I asked about that unit. Not even a "we've made the decision not to hire anybody right now." I ended up not being offered the second position and received an email stating they are no longer considering me for GN positions.

I've been applying to other places and have several interviews schedule so really its no skin off my back. I just ended up

in an unlucky situation with the initial position I was being considered for being removed.

Well I checked on the website today and the application no longer says "in process" it says "application review completed". So thats the end of that. Im applying all over, had the career center at the university re-do my resume and cover letter, and I cant get any interviews. This is with 4 years of CNA experience. Im baffled.
