I should have my intake interview some time this week, hoping to start the RN to BSN program March 1st. I believe I need 34 CU's, so we are in the same ballpark......congrats to you on this endeavor, I know I'm nervous!

The best of luck to all of you! Be prepared for the road ahead but know in the end it will be worth it. I am sure you will all do great. BTW, I have heard awesome things about ! VonettaRN, I tried to return your PM but I have not posted the required amount to be able to PM!

Thanks I got it!

will be starting on March 1st. anyone with tips on ow to succeed in 6 months would be helpful. have 42 cu to complete for my rn to bsn program. would like to talk to anyone in the program now or have completed.

I hope to start April 1st. They are currently reviewing my transcripts, I am anxious to see how many CU I need to complete. I am planning on doing it in 2 terms, I just can't commit to trying to finish in 1 term. My life is already crazy enough, lol.

I'm hoping to start April 1st too. Depends how fast I can get my nclex done. I might be looking at may 1st more realistically but here's hoping.

Hello, I started RN to BSN Jan 1. I'm finishing up the Health Assessment and Applied Assessment now. My mentor has been awesome as well as the course mentor's thus far. A lot of infor in the Assessment class. Been an ICU nurse for 9yrs, so I kinda got focused on certain things and forgot a lot of things. Have no complaints so far. Keep me in the loop. Always good to have group vent and chat with.

Hello! I plan on starting in June. :) I would like to keep in touch with anyone else in the program too. Glad to hear your experience is good so far.

I got my degree plan and it is spread out over 2 years!!! I picked because I heard it was the quickest...hmmmmm... Also just finished their onine orientation. They want a spreadsheet with 20 hours a week dedicated to this. Is this true??? I went to excelsiior on 10 hrs a week, and was planning on doing the same. At my rate it should take me 4 years..OMG... LOL Someone tell me if they really need 20 hours a week for this??? thanks

That's just suggested, at a rate of 12CU/term. You can go as fast as you can, although if you plan on accelerating it will definitely take 20 hours a week. I did my two year plan in only a bit over three months (!), but I probably did 30-40 hours a week working on it. Most people finish in a year or so, some much less and some more. It's up to you as to how much time you want to spend.

oh thanks. Yes some weeks I can spend 30 hours, but some I dont have 10. They wanted a speadsheet with 20 hours worked in and it made me nervous..... thanks for the quick response.
