So I made the decision to go with WGU for my BSN and everything is all set to start on February 1st. Just wondering who else is starting in February? Or anyone the started in the recent months let me know how its going. :-) I have a nervous/excited energy about starting. Im hoping to be done by the end of 2014 and have 33CU's to go.

I think I am! RN to MSN. I'm excited, and very interested to see how I'm actually gonna fit this into my life.

I'll be starting in February as well. Just wrapped up the education without boundaries orientation. I have 52 CUs to complete, so it remains to be seen if I'll be able to wrap it all up in six months. I'm staying hopeful though. I'm planning on dedicating as much time as humanly possible so that I can accelerate through. Best of luck to you!

I did 50 in 3.5 months so it's definitely possible. But it won't be easy! You are the first person who had more to do than I did!
I'll take that as a challenge ? Congrats on the amazing pace you kept up. Any tips on how to accelerate that quickly?
We'll maybe I can get my 33 done in 6months lol I was gonna shoot for 6 but 12 if necessary :-)

Don't sleep much and do nothing but study when not at work. I started studying a week before classes started so I could take two class final exams (objective examinations) right after the term started. Boom! One week down, 6 units gone. :) I tried to get at least one class done per week if I could manage it. There's a lot of help on the WGU RN to BSN discussion group as well.
Also keep your fingers crossed that you have a supportive mentor. A few of them are resistant to the super accelerator mentality. I lucked out and got one who would open up whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted - once I proved I could get through those first 12. If you zip through the 12 CU you get up front your mentor *should* be a lot more receptive to accelerating the pace. And yes, you CAN take your community health practicum in the same term as your theory class, so get the theory class out of the way as soon as you can.
I am guessing with 50+ units you are stuck with the sciences like I was? Those come with nifty lab kits. :)
