Yes they are two different classes. I had them set up separately but UTA screwed up my fin aid and mad me drop me first class. I really wasn't happy. After this sems i only have two classes left then I'm done and I couldn't push it back or i wouldnt get my fin aid anymore. I'm seriously hoping vul pop isn't too insane... :/
Vulnerable Populations isn't too bad. You'll do a lot of research on your own community. The assignments are long and involve a lot of writing. In the assignments be prepared to answer every single question and hit every point on the rubric, even if you think it's redundant because you answered it a section back, even if you think you don't need to because the answer is implied or glaringly obvious.
Research is a lot of work. When I took it in 2013, 70% of the grade are based on group work (groups are assigned randomly). 30% are what you can earn yourself from the quizzes. Go to all of the online office hours, because you will receive a lot of helpful information about the assignments.
