  1. Congrats to you too, I started this program when my last baby was 2 months. Easiest classes according to me: nursing professional, older adults, promotion (check APA for discussion board for this class), leadership & management (no quizzes for this class yay). time consuming class: research and vulnerable population (I actually finish this c lass in 3 weeks instead of 5). I still need health assessment and capstone for nursing.
  2. I obtained my ADN on Dec 2010, I remembered I started professional nursing class on Nov 2013 which lasted 10 weeks. I work full time and have 2 kids, I can say its possible and doable. Time management is the key since most of the classes are 5 weeks. After the first nursing class, i've been taken one class at a time and no classes during summer. I take my own time lol but with all As. Expected graduation May 2015 yay :)
  3. Oh no heddi, i took research last nov and they were still doing group work. It's a lot of material and I had to double check everyone's work. I ended up with A , I cant believe they still grading hard.
  4. Hi! I did all of my general ed @ Tarrant Community College, UTA accepted them, so when I started this program I started with professional nursing. I've taken one class at a time. good luck on your new journey :)_
  5. I'm attending University of Texas at Arlington , located in Texas. This program is 100% online :) which makes it flexible for the working RN. Good luck on your classes.
  6. Hello all, I'm 3 classes away from completing my BSN @ UTA. I don't regret choosing UTA as I've had good experience so far. I remember being so scared for just returning to school and how my I will to sacrifice my time but I Knew I would my BsN one day and I can't believe I'm almost done. I have a 4yr and 1 yrs old and decided to start nursing classes when my 2nd daughters was 2 months. Now Im can say that it is possible to return to school, no matter your age, background, or even language. My biggest fear was writing essays but if I can do , you'll def succeed too!! Right now, I'm on vulnerable population and barely turned in my week 2 assignment which was challenging but possible. FYI, I did one class at a time even with summer brakes lol I'm doing this program at my own pace & use old version books for the RN-BSN classes. I still need assessment and then capstone :)
  7. I took research on Nov 2014, course has changed and thought it wasn't too bad if you have a decent group. My best advise is to stay on top of due dates and double check every assignment. If you want A, you need to follow rubric!! quizzes weren't too horrible, I studied the reading worksheet only.
  8. i'm with you nursemayra. Don't know what to expect for 1st quiz but will study ooh and lecture notes with reading sheet.
  9. I'm doing UTA RN to BSN and haven't had any problems/issues yet.

Parkland has a lot of nursing positions available. I dont believe they care if you have ADN. I heard you will need your BSN later on. I think they give you 3 years to complete the program but I think that's going to happen once the new hospital is built.
  11. Parkland hospital!!!
  12. Dallas Texas. Parkland is having a new hospital next year. They need a lot of nurses. good luck
  13. I graduated from TCCD nursing program. I'm glad I was able to finish all of my prenursing requirements before starting my ADN. Right now I'm taking classes at UTA for the RN to BSN program. Good luck guys.
  14. Hi, congrats everyone entering TCC nursing program. I graduated from TCC and I love the program. Now I'm working on my RN-BSN from UTA
