    Hello Room,

I've been an lpn for 5 yrs, and I've been wanting to Travel for a long time. I'm not sure which company uses lpn's the most or the best. I want to travel to Hawaii but, now i think I'm moving there. So, i need to know what is the best option Travel and work or Live there and work. If anyone knows of any good travel company's for lpn's please let me know or if there are any good places for lpn's to work in hawaii. Please let me know where to start.

There is a Travel Nurse section. You may want to enter your question there.

There are many listing for travel nursing agencies within popular nursing magazines. Take your pick and call them up. I considered travelling as an LPN about 3 years ago. At that time I applied with some of the companies. The next thing I knew they were leaving messages on my machine nearly every day telling of job offers. If things haven't changed dramatically since then, you shouldn't have a problem. Keep in mind that some agencies require one year experience as a nurse and some require one year hospital based experience. Some don't require any level of experience.

Try Delphi Forums for travel nursing.

Chances are if no one is responding then we don't have an answer.

Just MHO, but I would stay far, far away from any agency that did not require any level of experience. Patient safety and your license are not a priority for them - dollars are. You have to watch your own back as a traveler and keep in mind that most recruiters are not and have never been nurses - they have no clue about the responsibility that comes with a license, they just want that commission.

Ehm, I swear this is the General Discussions forum or am I just lost? :stone
*coughs* Disregard that. I see that you can reach this place from either forum.

:chuckle No one answered my thread today. I was trying to find out if there were any places that offer good medical insurance for employees. It happens sometimes.

It is difficult, if not impossible to answer many threads. We are a community of supportive Nurses who volounteer to participate on the board. I am a Moderator who volounteers along with many other Moderators and a handful of Administrators.

I would suggest, viewing this Forum as well as the LPN Forum for starters in getting information. YOur question is not specific so it is difficult to answer (for me). I think if you go through, for starters, the two Forums and on to other Forums, here at AllNurses you will get a lot of information on the topic you are seeking.

YOu may want to also go to the Introductions Forum:

Here is a conversation on this Forum, Travel Nursing, that asks specific information that lends itself to answers, volountarily, byt the posters here at AllNurses:

I look forward to hearing about your travels!
