Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

To Ivetter: They said they accepted 100, but That is what I heard from this girl who currently go to TWU Houston right now.

at the Houston open house they said they were accepting 90...it all depends on how many clinical instructors they have, by law it has to be something like a 1:10 ratio, so if they have 9 clinical instructors they can only accept 90 students

Hello ladies! I just got accepted to the Houston Center for Spring 2010!! Super excited - not sure how many of you are going to Houston or Dallas - but I am excited for everyone - this process has been crazy - so congrats to everyone who is accepted!! I will be driving in from Katy - anyone else commuting from the Katy area? Also wanted to know if anyone has any information on when orientation will be? I am assuming all the info is in the packet we will receive.....I'm just so anxious!!!

Is anyone out there communting to houston campus from mont belvieu area..near baytown? thats where i will be coming from.. if anyone is let me know we can carpool! also , is anyone attending the TWU open house tomorrow at 2? can we bring someone?

I think the open house is for prospective students entering TWU - from what I understand, we will have an orientation that will be more specific to the CON.

I concur with Rosebud. I had emailed Ms. Philips about the info session tomorrow and she responded back that it was for prospective students only. We will need to attend the orientation if you've already been accepted. You can definitely bring anyone you want though. It is very informal and she just gives out pre-req sheets, etc. I'm sure if you really want to talk to someone, you can go and ask her anything you want after the informal presentation.

Congrats again everyone!! I can't wait to meet all of you! This is my first time posting on here - but looks like we're going to have a great time! So happy to see everyone so pumped and excited!! Such a change from the uncertainty we were all feeling not knowing if we have been accepted!! I have been on Cloud 9 all weekend!! haha. I noticed that the Dallas campus peeps are meeting up - does anyone in the Houston group want to meet up in the next week or so to celebrate??
