Ivetter - I don't see why they wouldn't - I can call to reconfirm but it is the BLS Certification - which the school requires, and it is approved by the American Heart Association. So, unless they require us to get the CPR certification through the school - it should be fine. I will send an email just to be sure.....and post on here. But when I took the class - I took it with a bunch of girls going to UTMB and they didn't have a problem with it.

For anyone who was looking into applying for scholarships - I contacted the financial aid office and they told me the deadline for the 2009-2010 year already passed. I believe the deadline is in March or April - so keep those dates in mind for the following year. Good luck everyone!!

Hey Houston Peeps - anyone that has not had their CPR certification - I took mine through this company called HeartStart - it is run by this young woman (her name is Heather) who comes to your home and does the entire class for you in about 2.5-3 hours max!! It is so convenient - and it costs the same as if you were doing it anywhere else - but more convenient and less time consuming!! The charge is $40 per person, and she will come to you individually or if you have groups. Very cool way to do it - she brings the video, the dummies, everything!! She provides the BLS Training for Health care providers, which is what we need, and it is approved by the American Heart Association. Alyssa3788 - you can go to the doctor and have them do a blood test - I think it's called a tither - it will show if you have the antibodies in your system from having the vaccine..they should accept that. I had to do the same thing.

Congrats again everyone!! I can't wait to meet all of you! This is my first time posting on here - but looks like we're going to have a great time! So happy to see everyone so pumped and excited!! Such a change from the uncertainty we were all feeling not knowing if we have been accepted!! I have been on Cloud 9 all weekend!! haha. I noticed that the Dallas campus peeps are meeting up - does anyone in the Houston group want to meet up in the next week or so to celebrate??

I think the open house is for prospective students entering TWU - from what I understand, we will have an orientation that will be more specific to the CON.

Hello ladies! I just got accepted to the Houston Center for Spring 2010!! Super excited - not sure how many of you are going to Houston or Dallas - but I am excited for everyone - this process has been crazy - so congrats to everyone who is accepted!! I will be driving in from Katy - anyone else commuting from the Katy area? Also wanted to know if anyone has any information on when orientation will be? I am assuming all the info is in the packet we will receive.....I'm just so anxious!!!
