Tarrant County College Spring 2014

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

Yes, I had seen this. However, it does not allow me to type/edit the document. (whether I've saved it or not). Like put the check marks for vaccinations, click on the circles ect. So, that is why I asked if we were supposed to print, fill it out, scan, then email with the above instructions. I also have a mac, not a PC, maybe that is the problem. Just want to do it the right way!

Open for suggestions!

Ok So you can print/ fill it out(easiest) then scan and attach to the email. You have to google how to fill in the check marks. And on the bullets you can do solid bullets. Hope that helps. My husband helped me. He is an IT guy! :)

Is everyone editing the acceptance letter in word and then saving it? And is anyone considering the hybrid? I don't think I want to do that but I wanted to see what y'all thought.

I want to wait and get through the first semester. Not doing the hybrid course. :)

I just got off the phone with someone up at nursing, who was not very nice, she said all immunizations have to be done before we submit acceptance form. Can you tell me who you talked to and exactly what they said? thanks

All my vaccines are done, I just need second round of HEP A and they knew that. My friend still has a couple and they accepted her based on a "provisional". Anyway, we both need 2nd HEP A (most do since they didn't inform us until late that it needed to be done). As long as we have it before we go to Clinicals we will be fine!

I edited the form, and sent it as a file. My wife printed it, scanned it, and then sent it as a file. Either way I think it is fine. Hep A is the exception. I am going to get a titer done for Hep A to complete my shots. I am doing the Hybrid, since I like the idea of only going up to campus a min of 1-2 days a week.

Why do so many people need the hep a? How many are we supposed to have and is there a time frame in which we have to get it again?

I couldn't edit the form electronically so I just submitted mine hand filled out? Think thats a problem?

2 shots for the hep. They are 6 months apart. You can get a titer if you can't get your 2nd by the start of clinicals

I don't think so, I am sure most people printed it out/ scanned / and then sent it.

Did you even start your HepA series yet? They are six months apart unless you get a titer done.
