We will have lecture tomorrow. Tuesday and Wed. was our preclinical labs. It interesting. We don't have our hospital orientation till the 6th week, a week before we actually start clinicals. I can't wait till we start that. Right now it is a little overwhelming because we have all of this info thrown at us. I am doing work for our lecture class right now. Our teacher wants these lecture notes filled out and the pages we need to be read before we get to class so I am finishing up the paper and going to read the textbook again to be prepared.

You waiting around for 15 min. and than finding out you was in the wrong building sounds like something I would do. lol

Yeah they told us we can't wear jeans.I think when I have to go, I will just wear my uniform because I mostly own jeans.

Good luck!! How is everyone else doing?

Thanks... it is pretty overwhelming at first, but once I get in my "groove" I should be ok.

Spring '06 starts in a couple of days. With this, a new adventure, a new journey, a new way of thinking starts for each of you.

Stay motivated, try not to become overwhelmed, and always keep an eye on your long-term goal.

There are only 4 sememsters.....you can do it! :hatparty: Good luck to you all!

Congrats!!! I know you will get in for sure....

    SO.......this means I have a 4.0 on the pre-reqs & a 4.0 on all 17 credits of the support courses.

If I don't get in for Fall '06, then it's not meant to be, and I'll help my hubby run his biz. hahaha

.....because you may be my nurse someday!

    Hey everyone

Whew- this has been a tough week. This is a hard schedule to adjust to. My connection to my internet has been so far and few between that I haven't been able to post on here. There is just so much information to pilfer through that I spend hours every night trying to get it all together into something that makes sense.

Katie, I am so happy for you and the math test! I wish I had had some notes to give to you for the class but we didn't receive any in class. She pretty much taught us what we needed to know and then we took the test. It was nice to have it out of the way. We don't do our hospital orientation until the 6th week or something. We definitely need to exchange notes to see if we're on the same page as y'all are and vice versa. Has it been a crazy week for you too?

Fun, when will you hear about your acceptance? There have been two people already who dropped out of EC. I don't know about NL. I think that's so unfair to those who didn't get in because those spots could have been filled but I guess things come up at the last minute for people....I hope we don't lose any more!!!

The mailout deadline is April 15th. I haven't even applied yet, though, so no countdown yet. lol

I have to wait until the Algebra grade is posted to get a new transcript.

Yeah, it's sad that they don't call people in. I'm sure there's a way to catch up during the first week. Oh well.....everyone that is suppose to get in, will when the time is right.

(Sad to say, but I'm thinking those people probably knew something was up b/4 they started if they dropped w/i the first week.)

We still have 50 people in our class. I know because we have exactly 50 chairs in the room, and every one of them is taken.

At El Centro, are you all in the same clinical group?

Our lab class is canceled today, because the water main break at North Lake. I guess our next week shedule will change.

Funny, you are going to apply with perfect grades/credit hours, aren't you? Good Luck.

    Yes Ma'am. :hatparty: 4.0 on the pre-reqs & all 17 support credits completed with a 4.0! :hatparty:

    Thanks.

You're probably right, Funny. They probably knew that it was something they didn't want to do. I don't know why they accepted their spots...ARGH that makes me mad :angryfire Good luck to you though! You have to start the countdown soon! I will be on the lookout for it!

Katie, we are all in different clinical groups. I think there are 5 groups of 10. But there are two groups who have 9. We all have lecture together but that's it. AND the lecture teacher that everyone swears to stay away from is not that bad. I think she just has high expectations and that's it. Of course, it was only the first day but she really didn't seem that bad. Someone in our class actually asked her if she is really as bad as everyone says she is That's what I call guts....

That's funny that your water main broke in your first week b/c that happened at EC a couple of semesters ago hahaha. I think it's students doing it!!!!! just kidding...

Also, have any of you checked out that MedsPub website? I think it's an awesome site. I have been toying around with it the last couple of hours and I think there's lots of valuable and helpful info on there.....

Hey Christy - are you around? There were some people I couldn't hear when she was going around the room yesterday so I wasn't sure if you were in there.

    How are you liking everything?

Congrats!! That is great news! We was up there on a Saturday taking a Keys to Success class and we saw some people taking the HESI and there were tons of people who came out crying. Made us really freak out! Now I am really scared of that test!

Shelley that is such great news! I am so happy for you! Do you have a job lined up?

Do "they" really want El Centro students as much as all of the teachers claim? I've often wondered if we're as wanted as much as we're told haha.
