Anyone needing a job....

Guys, if anyone is willing to relocate, the Fort Duncan Regional hospital is always hiring. That is where I am now, originally from Dallas-graduated in May 2011. Most of our nurses are from out of town. They are probably still offering 24000 bonus if you stay for two years. It is a good hospital, but the town is small and not much to do on weekends. But, if you need to get experience and cant find a position, consider it! Google fortduncanregional and apply! I hope it helps some that are finding it difficult to get positions-mom35

Ive actually been looking into it since late last year. I wont be graduating until June but Im definitely going to apply when I finish.

Mom35- Do you feel like the orientation that you received was sufficient?

I am going into my ninth week of orientation. We get twelve weeks. Yes, I think it is sufficient. You get preceptors, not the same person each time though.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, not many would do it, God bless you.
Hopefully it would be useful to many people out there.

    Many blessings

Thanks so much, Mom35! You have given me hope. Lived in Texas for a while - it's a great state. Hot, but great.

Is the town nice? I'm talking about for families with kids. How are the schools? Is the area safe?

The town is safe, I dont know about the other side of the border. The town is quiet and not much to do but there are lots of families here-it seems very family oriented. The teenagers that we have encountered are all very polite and respectful. I dont know how the schools rank, my kiddo is 21 and stayed in Dallas. I am not sure if there are any private schools here. Also, if one has a spouse looking for employment, this may cause a dilemma, though there is apparently a recent oil boom nearby with more opportunities to come.

I dont see why not. Not only that, they paid for my relocation in addition to 24000 for bonus. Well, they said up to 4000 for relocation. They also paid my first month rent and my deposit.
