The deadline to apply is February 1, 2012. How many are applying? I thought I would start a thread so we can all wait together, and get to know each other. I finished my special application today and will turn it in tomorrow at the start of the spring semester. Good luck to everyone!

Well I'm #6 on alternate list .... Keeping my fingers crossed that 6 have been accepted somewhere else lol!!!

Yep! My jaw dropped when I saw the passing grades!! My husband is in the U of M nursing school and its 75 STCC is a 78!!

hi everybody!! i was accepted to baptist and southwest.i really think im going with southwest, esp after reading what everyone else has to say about both schools. im so excited i cant stand it! i just wanted to join into the conversation and hopefully keep eachother updated on what were supposed to do when....hope everyone is doing great this semester, i have finals next week and am going to enjoy the summer before the real hard, but fun! stuff begins =)

Hello rn2be14 and congrats on ur acceptance. I'm interested in Baptist do you know what the requirements are as far as GPA and other criteria. I have a degree already. Just want to know if I have a chance. I have also completed AP I and II with labs.

Just so you guys know that syllabus that was posted is OLD. Dr. Porter no longer teaches at southwest and the books that are on it have not been updated to new additions. DO NOT buy anything until they give you the correct list. You may not need all of those books at once.

thank you soon2benurseV! i know GPA has to be min 2.7 on all college work completed...ever. you dont need to do all the things they required before like letters of reccomendation, HOBET, and all these forms. once you send your transcripts in they will determine if your GPA is high enough then they will start seeing what credits they will accept. if you go on there website you can find your school and look it up yourself if you want to. there is an application fee and if you get accepted you have to pay $100 right aways or yo could lose your spot.

Thanks for the information rn2b14. I saw the priority deadline at Baptist was March 1. But the final deadline is May 1...U thinks its too late to send in an application to start fall 2012. Since they dont do the HOBET anymore do you have to the TEAS.
