If you have taken the online teas, how much higher or lower did you score?

I have been getting 80s to 90s on both the McGraw-Hill and ATI practice tests in the book, but I just took the online practice test on the ATI site and scored a 62%. I hope what people have been saying about the actual test being easier is true!

I took the real TEAS test and scored 12% better than I did on the ATI practice test! The practice test was much harder

When you all are talking about the practice tests, you are referring to the ones in the ATI handbook not the ones you purchase separately online right?

I got a lot higher score on my actual TEAS than on my practice exams. I did not find the practice tests worth the money except to show someone what to expect on the actual test. I scored a 60 something on practice test and a 80.7% on my TEAS.

Does anyone know how the McGraw Hill Study Guide compares to the actual test? I take the practice tests in the study guide and I get between 79% and 89%. I am very worried that the study guide is not even close to the actual test. I feel so unprepared for the Science section because I haven't taken Chemistry since high school. No matter how hard I study Chemistry and Physics I cant remember most of it.

The McGraw study guide is not as good as the ATI TEAS study guide, but something it better than nothing! For Chemistry, which was my problem section, I found someone to help me learn it and I used a separate book I found at the library. I ended up with a 100% in that section (from a 45% on the first time I took it).

I believe everyone is talking about the online assessments... It scores it exactly how it would be scored on the actual TEAS. You get more points for answering harder questions and vice versa, so the assessments are supposed to give you an idea of how well you will do on the TEAS.

But my experience is that I scored a lot higher on the actual TEAS than on the online assessments. The questions were a lot more difficult on the practice tests!

Good luck Bella!

taking mine tomorrow with only a few days of studying, they extended the date at the last min so I figured I'd go for it. I was two classes from taking my NCLEX at OSU-OKC and because life happens I had to relocate to Florida so now I am not only do i have to repeat all the stuff I just learned I have to be put back thru the stress of applying again:scrying: The HESI I did well on but was right out of prereqs so no biggie now I have to take the TEAs. I have both the mcgraw book and I took the online test to see where i stood, THANK GOD my school doesnt make you take science! but the other sections i did in the 70's thats with two kids fighting in the background, I hope its good enough i just have to pass. I too wanted to know how close the online was to the real one or if it was a good indicator on how i would do.

Boy I am glad I found all these comments. I took the actual TEAS in May and scored 84% overall with no studing at all. I have been studying a little for the last couple of weeks and decided to try online assessmet from ATI I choose form B and I got only 67%. I was like, how could I study and get a lower score than the actual test? The Online assessments are definately harder than the real thing. The math was comparable, the science was more difficult and the reading and language had more trick type questions.I don't really like ATI's explanations of the answers, and I don't understand why the assesments are so expensive.

There were longer passages to read than the actual test. The assessment gives you the correct answers right away, but that of slows you down. Also the practice test does not have a proper count down timer for each separate test, it just shows you the total time taken to complete the entire assessment so that is not useful if you are trying to time yourself for each section. The actul test had say Reading was 58mins, it would count down to 0 then you would run out of time and we were allowed to take breaks during the actual test. You would have a keep a stopwatch and time yourself during the practice because time is totally ignored and in that reguard the practice test is lame, nevertheless it gives a good idea of the topic covered.

Hi guys, the online test you are talking about is the paid one or is there a free version???
