I interviewed November 8th. I'm still waiting to hear any news. My coworker also interviewed the week after me and got an offer on the table which she accepted. I hear it's pretty rare to have that happen. Has anyone else heard anything back from them?

I was offered a slot at TWU right after my interview. I was initially told that they usually don't tell people until about April. I know other people that are in the program and told that usually people are not notified until then, unless you have been accepted to another program and need to know where you stand at TWU. Hello to everyone applying to tcu/twu. My question is, did I miss the boat or something? I just completed both of my applications to these two schools yesterday, yet some people have already interviewed and been accepted. Your apps. must have been completed quite a while ago???

hey all...have actually accepted an offer for a school in nashville, and so didn't interview with tcu or wesleyans but have had several friends that did. just know you're basic icu stuff as well as things specific to your unit (example: i worked in a neuro/trauma unit and they asked a coupla people to trace the path of csf through body and what clinical symptoms you'd have if there were trauma/damage to different areas of the brain, etc.) be able to interpret abg's and swan numbers knowing the interventions to make to correct the problem as well as the mechanism of action of ACLS and unit-specific drugs.

as for missing the boat, have known people that both found out within weeks of their interview as well as some who didn't find out until march/april, and some that were put on the wait-list but still got in. if you can be flexible, mark that you're willing to go to any clinical site on your application as that does help (especially if you get put on the wait-list)

i worked in a neuro/trauma unit and they asked a coupla people to trace the path of csf through body Please tell me that was a 'misspoke typo'! CSF travels through the CNS, not the body!
Texas Wesleyan starts interviews in November for those who apply earlier than deadline. Interviews continue through early April. After the final interview, class selection is determined by the admission committee. If one does EXCEEDINGLY well, they MAY be offered a position sooner rather than later. The other 'early' (earlier than April when final selections are made) selection is if an applicant has been accepted to another program and need to make a decision of one school over the other. TCU follows a similar admissions policy.

Study your CCRN material before the interview, especially cardiac, resp, neuro. Understand how most major vasoactice drips work, eg epi, receptors, responses, ADE.

You will get a solid 30-1hr clinical questions, if you smoke then as I did they will let up. If you start missing they will keep them coming. I took the CCRN the week before all my interviews so it worked out well.
