I will be starting school in August 2012 at the age of 27, and finish right before my 30th birthday. At least I will still be 29 when I graduate!

It's encouraging to hear of younger people in crna programs. I'm 23 now and have two more months until I can transfer to our icu (I work at a level one trauma hospital). Every time I mention my goals all my coworkers say I'm too young and I should work for a few more years before I consider applying.... so now I keep my mouth shut lol.

I am 26 and will be studying for an accelerated BSN starting in May, and I am interested in becoming a CRNA. Is it wise to go straight into the ICU after graduation or would it be better to work on a floor first?

Get into an ICU right after if you can.

I will be 23 when I start my CRNA program this fall. To my knowledge I am the youngest one in my class.

25 is the youngest I've every met. I was 26 when I was accepted and going into my second year now. I am the youngest one in my program. mostly everyone is 28-35 and a few 30 yo's.

I dont know how someone who is 22 could even have the appropriate experience.

    what is that:
    graduate at 17
ADN: done at 19 then work in an icu directly out of school while getting your bachelors for 2 years?
    21 years old and apply?

    Propofolled,
How much ICU time did/do you have? Did you smoke the GRE? i will say it for many... many of us are jealous of your accomplishment others maybe concerned with the amount of critical care time/experience that you have.... good luck with your pursuit
