yes, she cannot be on OPT and be going to school full time. Part time is allowed thou.

You cannot be attending another school and be working on OPT. If you do get another I-20 from a different school other than the one you graduate from before your OPT expires, ur OPT is authomatically cancelled and you cannot work with it anymore. If you keep working, it will be considered working illegally.

I withdrew from my pharmacology class my first yr of Nursing school as i did not have a clue as to what my instructor was talking about. I had a W on it but i retook it the next yr and had an A on it. Yes, the W is still on the front page of my transcript but when u flip over to the next page, U'll see that i got an A in pharmacology. I'll advise that you try your best and hang in there but if you believe that you can't do it anymore, u should be fine to drop it and retake it later.

It really depends on what part of the world u are at. Its alot easier to be a male nurse in the US than it is say in Africa. I knew i had always wanted to be nurse but the only way my parents would let me get a nursing degree was if i promised to go to medical school after that. Am a nurse now and i do enjoy it although i do get some sexist remarks once in a while but thats the way life is. Anyway, am planning on going to med school when i can but i don't know for sure. If nursing is ur passion (haha), Go for it. And i hate it when people say you don't have to become a nurse just for the money. Ofcourse everyone gets a higher education so that they can earn more money so, i don't see why the case is different for nurses. But anyway, i wish you goodluck and stay focused.

I almost cried when my 20yr old male patient passed away. He had a brain tumor and herniated right in front on me. He fought death for about 2 hrs, finally he gave up. I held back my emotions( so i thought) but the very next day, the other nurses on the floor told me that i should have let it out as i was so pisssed with everyone when my patient died. i didn't know that. Anyway, am 21yrs male and it could have been me laying on that bed.
