I was just curious how many of you working for a public school district are working towards Public Service Loan Forgiveness?
I am ~48K in debt - 20 months of accelerated nursing education at a private University will do that to ya! One perk of my school nursing career is the potential that my Federal loan will be forgiven after a total of 10 years and 120 payments. Luckily, since I make squat, my payment plan is income based and my monthly payments are low. Shining light at the end of the tunnel!

I briefly looked into this, but didn't get too far into it. I wasn't sure if public schools would qualify or not. I'm also doing income based repayment because if I didn't, they wanted about 30% of my take home pay every month for my loan payments. I feel like I'll forever be drowning in these loans.

Omgoodnes...I did not even know this was an option. Is there any way I can get more information from you all? Where do you start?
