HealthSouth Digital Interview??

I got an email today for a digital interview with HealthSouth!

does anyone have experience with this new way of interviewing? It will be in video format, essentially a recording. Of course I am wondering about questions...I'm mortified!

Any insight on pay, differentials, etc.?

How many years of experience do you have? Most HealthSouth facilities use a pay grid to determine the hourly wage you'll be offered. The more experience you have, the higher the wage you'll be offered.

HealthSouth is a for-profit corporation that owns a chain of specialty rehabilitation hospitals and home health companies across the country. Since there's a HealthSouth hospital in Colorado Springs, I assume this is where the OP will be interviewing.

I am a new grad! No experience, of course. The only experience I have is that obtained from my clinical rotations, which all happened to have been in critical care units, and my final Senior Preceptorship in a LTACH, which is where my interest is. I do have my ACLS cert.

I have read posts that HealthSouth hires new grads…hopeful!

Centura has dumped all 21 of my applications in the past week. Applied at Parkview, took their online assessments but have not heard back from them :yawn:

Acute Rehabilitation Hospital. I was originally looking for LTACH, I found Select Specialty, but their job postings say "2 Years experience required".

I am a new grad! No experience, of course.
If you are a new grad RN without any experience, you will probably be offered the lowest pay rate on the wage grid, which will likely be in the low to mid $20s per hour for Colorado Springs.

Due to all the military wives in the area who are nurses, the Colorado Springs area facilities can get away with pay rates that are much lower than the national average.

Thanks! I just got called for interviews at Parkview (Pueblo) next week! All very exciting! They were one of my first choices when applying. It's good to know they have humans reading the resumes we send in!

Are they in the same pay range as well?

I've done their digital interview, although not for nursing, but I have to say that it was a brilliant idea in order for our personalities to come across versus doing a phone interview. The only tip that I could gave you as a recommendation is to try to do the practice runs that are provided (there is an option to practice answering questions And I do believe I got two of those practice questions in the actual recorded interview). Make sure that you do this and are comfortable; and play this back and see little aspects of your interviewing skills that you can prove improve upon.

Questions I got were:

1. What makes you a good fit for the job?

2. Give an example of a time when you stepped up and provided excellent care that you weren't necessarily required to do

3. How would you handle a situation where the family is out of hand

4. What do you like most about your current job. What do you dislike most about your current job

5. Where do you see yourself in 2 to 3 years. Where you see yourself in five years

6. What skills do you have that would make this job and easy adjustment for you (what skills do you have that would make you a great fit for this job easier)

7. Why did you leave your previous job for your current job

8. Give an example of a time that you went above and beyond to make your job easier, your coworkers job easier, and your managers job easier

Please don't quote me verbatim. This is about all I can remember from this interview process.

Thank you so much!! You are amazing!! They stated in the e-mail that it would be an interview to "expand" upon the resume and show my true personality. I don't think behavioral type interviews that I have been studying up on would accomplish the "true personality" part of anyone! So these questions will help a great deal.

Did you end up getting the job you had applied for?
