Any recommendation for an easy RN to BSN program?

I am looking for an RN- BSN program where receiving a high GPA is actually doable. I enrolled into one, ULL, and I was just pissed at how harsh they grade the papers. They have quizzes, discussion forums, essays and RP. I spent a lot of time on my papers yet I never get As on them. They don't even grade papers on the thought it's mostly on formatting. Didn't realize I'm an English major also. I use APA creators online for my references but they say they're wrong. Never had problem with those. Anyways I am looking for a school that doesn't grade as harsh as ULL. I can write a research paper and have no issue spending time doing so. I just want my grade to reflect my work.

So, you may not be aware of this, but getting a BSN? Is actually hard work. Yes they will nitpick your bibliography because it's supposed to be perfect. Yes, there will be group projects (YAY, not) and papers, and lots of reading, and other annoying assignments. That's pretty much what it's like.

Looking for an easy route? Probably not gonna happen. You just need to work harder.

Isn't competency based? 3.0 is the GPa you earn if I am not mistaken.

LOL, there are no easy RN-BSN programs...or any nursing programs that are easy. My RN-BSN was on-line, and I am assuming that yours is too. I had to write papers and posts galore...and APA format accounted for a good portion of the grades. My suggestion to you is to buy the APA Manual and keep it by your side as a "bible" when writing.

My suggestion to you is to buy the APA Manual, get to know the layout, so you will find what you need; and keep it by your side as a "bible" when writing. Also, I would not trust on-line APA creators, as you have found out. The newest APA manual can sometimes be confusing. Liked the previous edition, because it was more detailed. However, a good web-site is the OWL at Purdue, which can greatly help clarify some of the information in the APA Manual. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I believe Western Governors was relatively painless and easy (yes, required work and APA style) but I had an awesome mentor who helped me focus on key aspects of successful course completion. Would do again in a heartbeat. My regret is that I should have done my MSN from and then done a post grad NP program, rather than another NP program from a different school.

Oh, if you are applying to a competitive post baccalaureate program, do not do

Yes buy the APA manual and trust the validity of the content of the above quote. You want to have credentials obtained from schools that are reputable with rigorous standards. Stay away from the for-profit, expensive, poor performing, abominations on the quasi-educational landscape and know with school-work you win some and lose some. Keep trying and be patient. You'll be alright.

Define "easy".

Why is the goal to find the easiest school possible?

The OP wants a 'high' GPA. Due to the competency format, the highest GPA one can receive at Western Governors is a 3.0, nothing more.

Gosh I wish I could just be given things without having to work for them.... Wouldn't that be nice :)
