I am not in the Nursing classes yet til Spring (I think), but I've been working full-time and going to school part-time (and raising a baby a portion of that time) since 2004.

I know there are many posts out there regarding work/school/family and stories of people that do it!!!

Good luck!

It's totally doable I worked two full time jobs at a foster home and an ALF. Try to work weekends if that works for you, that way you can focus on school during the week.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I am an LVN who works weekend double shifts at a nursing home while attending school full-time during the week. I work 16 hours on Saturday, and 16 hours on Sunday, which enables me to have 5 days off per week to attend classes at my local community college.

I'm working a 9 to 5er (well more like 7:30 to 4er) Mon-Fri and taking two classes right now. Still in pre-reqs though but I plan on not working while going through my ABSN program.
