Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I think my Microbiology professor is awesome! Love the way she sets stuff up.

I should not have as much bad stress as last sememster, just normal stress.:p

I haven't met any of mine yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about all 3 from friends, classmates, and ratemyprofessor.com.

^It's good to hear that you have a better teacher this semester!

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

I met my clinical and lab instructor, loved them both

Will find out who I have for micro today, frankly I am more terrified about this course.

I've met my Abnormal Psych instructor and let's just say he fits the bill ;) If you have seen the movie "Along Came A Spider" and remember the way the villian disguised his voice in the movie, that is the way this guy talks! If you can get past that, he has a dry humor and I think the class is going to be awesome.

I dropped my Spanish III class yesterday - just couldn't bear the stress of catching up - it's been a year since Spanish II.

My soc class is online, but the guy seems very straight forward and lays out exactly what is expected of you.

Looks to be a great semester!

I'm taking two classes online, two "in-class"....

My online courses...

My Comm instructor seems really well organized....not to mention INTERESTING!! I think she has traveled everywhere, or enough really cool places to "fit the bill" and she seems really down to earth, I think I will really enjoy her class.

Med/Terms seems well set out....I think I'm more overwhelmed than anything in this class.

My two in-class courses...

I think I will like both classes.

A&PI seems to be well organized (wahoo) and informative (double wahoo!!!), very straight forward....I think I learned more last night than I did all last semester :)

Nuses aid course....she's seems great.

I think I will meet my goal of the new semester....

I can and will succeed with A's !!!! (Okay I might accept a B in A&P....but my goal is an A!)

I am terrified, too. not so much about the teacher but the material....the syllabus is rather thick and she expects a lot. We will even have to do a case study, write article reviews. I am terrified and don't know what to expect about the dreaded "UNKNOWN"

Yikes

:chuckle OMG , you'll have fun this semester for sure :p

Who's your prof for Micro this semester?

Who's your prof for Micro this semester?

Dr. McGilloway, she seems VERY nice and I heard many good things about her.

She is young and appears to be very well organized.

My class is tomorrow (Thurs) at 9:20 a.m.

Good luck with Torres :)

Specializes in Med/Surg, Hospice.

  • A & P: Same prof I had for Bio. Love her! She makes complex ideas easy to understand, is extremely supportive and protective of her students, and hysterically funny.
  • History: I can tell that I'm going to enjoy this class. The prof is a great storyteller. I came home so excited about his first lecture that I re-told the whole thing to my hubby the history buff.
  • Government: Younger guy teaches this but I hear he's really good. He says we will have a lot of discussion in class. I can take it or leave it (I'm past the age where I need to prove my point to other people), but it promises to be lively.
  • English Comp II: Classic intellectual type. Long wavy dark hair, little round glasses, deep rich baritone (male). Talks a lot about what it means to be a writer. This class may be a drag or it could be a blast. It's a good thing I like to write.

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

Let's just say I wish I could have never met my micro instructor. Loved my preceptor........and is a gem!
