While we are waiting

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

For those of us who are wait listed in programs that have pre's that include A&P 1 & 2, Micro, etc. But want to keep our information fresh, anyone want to group up to encourage and support each other to continue to study during this wait time?

Presently I am dong Khan's Academy "Health and Medicine" section. Starting at the top and plan on doing the whole thing. Mostly review. Some names I have forgotten (whoops) which shows I really need to refresh.

OF course, those of us who haven't completed those courses can also do this. It is simple enough that you will be able to follow along. (It is how I passed those courses) And might make those courses easier when the time comes.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

I might be interested! I am taking a courseload this semester of classes I will need for BSN eventually, while I wait, but I am sure I could do some of this as well.

Hi! I have not been wait listed, I start my program in January, but I certainly want to refresh my mind on some things that I will need to relearn for the nursing program. I think that's a great idea and I love Khan Academy!

Great Guys! I all ready started yesterday. In the Health and Medicine section, the first one listed is Human anatomy and physiology. I'm doing that first, and going down the line. I am half way done with Circulatory system introduction. I remembered everything, but if you had asked me to name something, I found out I had forgot alot of names. Not ALL, thank goodness.

Since my pronunciation is horrible, I am going to try and work on that as well. I was to embarrassed to say the words around others when I took the class. But I better get over that, if I want to fix my problem.

I've finished the Circulatory System Introduction. I'm starting the Respiratory system Intro. How about you guys?

Hi Spangle. Great idea to do that! I have been going through my anatomy notes to keep it fresh but it might be better to do Kahn's academy. I am waiting to find out if I'm accepted for Fall 2015 and was thinking about going over dosage calculations so it won't be foreign when it's introduced. Is there a book you'd recommend?
