Should I retake AP classes

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am hoping I can squeak out a 83 in my AP2 class. AP1 received an 81. Is it worth taking classes over?

Appreciate the insight.

Well it depends on what the school requires. But if the school only says you need that course (but doesn't specify I grade), then I wouldn't re-take it. 81 is an A-, that is a great mark.

81 is an A-??? Where??? I want to go to that school. Here, that is a low B or high C.

Does your nursing program allow retakes?

Ones looking at don't mentioned anything regarding retakes.

Yeah lol! In Canada, it's like that across the country. A low B would be low 70s, and a high C would be high 60s.

Some schools won't allow you to retake classes unless it's a C or below

The local community college district (that has a good number of nursing programs), does not allow repeat of any course in which a C or above was earned. If your grades are good enough according to the nursing program criteria for competitive admission, I would not repeat those courses. Even where retakes are allowed, a person getting a B should generally be satisfied unless they have a pretty good idea that they can pull the A and it is worth it depending on all the effective rules about grade averaging, etc.

If I fall below a B- I'll let it be. If a C+ probably retake it.
