I am a pre nursing student at Oakland University, what do I need to do in order to get a 3.6 gpa, my pre nursing courses have to add up then I can get into the program , I don't it lower than that. I only have two Cs so far in Math and Comp 150 , the rest of my classes I have all A& Bs, I'm retaking chemistry now since you need a 2.8, in order to be considered passing and I'm retaking Psych as well.. now all I have left is Bio and then I can apply but I want my gpa high as I can any suggestions? And I also got accepted into Toledo University program as well, my standing was a senior there at Oakland I'm a junior.. how Is that? and since there program is THREE LONG YEARS, I wont be done until 2019,, I transferred with an associate of science degree from Schoolcraft and at Oakland I sort of feel like a freshmen all over again basically because I still have four years left .. and at Toledo that wouldn't have been the case. .. I just chose not to go there because to far drive on holidays and other issues personal.. so what do I do I'm soo worried by the time I'm done with my Bio class and apply I want my gpa to be a 3.6 any suggestions??

Yes. Make an appointment with your school's academic counselor and/or your anticipated school's admissions counselor and go over the numbers with those people. None of us can possibly answer this for you.

I applied to Oakland with a 3.63 and was rejected for fall 2015. I would retake classes to get your gpa up as high as possible. Applying with a 3.6 may not get u in. Sadly.

The only way to improve your GPA is to take more classes and do well in them...

I kind of had the same problem with my grades. Some of my classes are lab/lecture and each portion was a % of my grade, along with test scores, quizzes, homework, attendance... etc. I even have a student portal and other electronic ways to track my scores (you might too) but that all relies on my instructor updating it. I found this website conquercollege.com It has a GPA calculator, a way to get your weighted grades totaled, and it worked for me. I am extremely fastidious about my grades, and I cry over a low A. I came across this site by googling 'grade calculator'. Hope this helps!

Summer 2016 ASD cohort avg GPA at OU was only a 3.4 o_O. Only GPA counted is the prerequisites, first degree GPA does not hinder your chances.
