Nervous about this upcoming fall!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I've had a pretty easy past two semesters but this fall I'm going to be taking A&P 2 and Micro at the same time! I've read plenty of posts on here about people who have taken both and passed with A's, but I can't help but be nervous too! Ready for the challenge :sneaky: I would love to hear about your schedule!

Thank you Neld, your success story is great motivation!! And yes I am doing very well in A&P 1. So far I have had mostly 100's on everything, including lab. It's micro I'm worried about because I am unfamiliar with it. But you clearly had more responsibilities than I and did amazing, so hopefully I will do the same!!

I'm taking them both now. I'll more than likely finish with an A in micro and a high B in A&P II (around 88ish). I honestly would have had an A in both, but my A&P II professor is sooo tough and it took me failing 2 tests before I figured out how to study for his tests. I've done great on the last 3. So all in all, I'll say yes, taking both and getting A's in both is very doable. And I work part time also if that makes you feel any better. All you need is time management and figure out which study techniques work for you AND your professor's tests.

As for the fall, I finally start my nursing classes for a BSN program. Glad to finally get this show on the road!

I'll be taking both of them with 2 other classes this fall also. It's gonna be tough, but it's that or wait a year to apply to the program I'm hoping to get in.

That's exactly why I'm taking both, as well. And wow that's quite a load but I have faith in both of us :) good luck!

I took A&P2 and Micro in the same semester. I made an A in Micro and a B in A&P2. It isn't impossible, and the dedication it takes is a fraction of the dedication 'real' nursing school will require. (I don't mean to discredit the difficulty of pre-req science classes, just saying that core nursing classes are harder).

I agree with you completely :) thanks for sharing and congrats on your good grades!

Update: I'm officially finished with the semester! I know some posters said i wouldn't be able to take A&P 2 and micro and come out with A's in both but I'm proud to say I did :) if anyone needs any help or study tips I encourage questions! I love helping :) good luck with next semester!

A&P was a breeze for you? I got an A both semesters and didn't think that. You'll probably be fine. maybe. :)
