Looking for some serious advice.

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi, I am looking for some advice from all you wonderful people out there. I am applying for MSN programs and ABSN programs for non nursing majors. I am graduating this upcoming May with my BS in psych. I have a 3.5 GPA currently, a 3.0 in pre reqs (a & p 1/2, micro, nutirition, stats) I have withdrawn from a few (3) classes throughout my college career and have attended 4 colleges but am graduating in 4 years (that has to count for something maybe? haha). I have worked all throughout college at give or take 25-30 hours a week to pay for my housing and such and also have shadowing in the OR and in a private practice.

do I have any chance of getting into an MSN/ ABSN program or should I just give up now and try another route?

I am in love with UVMs DEPN program... but feel as though I am probably going to fall short.

Oh and on the GRE I have a 154 in verbal and 144 qual and am planning on retaking it again.

There's always a chance. The schools will also look at your "science GPA" in addition to general GPA.

Some schools have less stringent admissions criteria than others, so I am assured there's a direct entry nursing program out there that will gladly admit you.

I think it's not easy for us as a forum to tell you if you will or will not get in. I say, what's the harm in applying?
