Less than a month....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have less than one month til I take the NLN Pre-entrance exam and I am FREAKIN' OUT!!!

I am breaking out a little already from stress. I had a study session with a girl from one of my classes yesterday who is also taking the test. I need more confidence in myself!! I do well on the math (for the most part), but I'm not very confident with the science and the language (because I've taken the test before, I know the types of questions on the language part). I was born and raised here, so English is the only language I know, but gosh, some of the words on the test that I took...who knows those?

I've made up a bunch of flash cards and plan to review those...I'm nervous!! VERY NERVOUS!!

Anywho...please send positive test passing vibes my way and good luck to anyone else taking the test soon!:nurse::thankya:

Positive vibes coming your way.

Learn to deal, however, because there's many exams between this and NCLEX. LOL

Good luck!

Throwing some positive vibes your way!! Relax and good luck!!

Positive vibes!!!

I just took the NLN two weeks ago and came home literally crying. I spent hours studying. There's not much you can do about the verbal. About 2-3 words were from the NLN book. The math is pretty much the same, except a little more geometry on the test then what's in the NLN book. BUT the science is so different. It seemed like it was all basic biology (which I haven't had since 1985). I would suggest getting a Cliff Notes book on Bio 101 if you're not up to speed. There were about 3-4 questions from the NLN book on the science part.

You'll probably walk out feeling like you didn't do well, but I scored in the 90's. I was totally shocked. They said our results would be out 2-3 weeks. It was actually one week exactly.

Good luck and remember don't freak out when you're done. Pace yourself. There were a lot of people who didn't finish all the sections, especially the Math and Science.

Thanks so much for the tips. I'll definitely focus on those points...I've been driving myself nuts trying to study!! Congrats on getting in the 90's!! I am praying I do the same!! I'll keep you all posted on how I do and just hope I won't be too embarassed to post my scores!
