Well it is finally here, and I take the TEAS exam at JJC next Thursday. I have been studying for over 2 months, and I still do not feel ready. I paid and took the ATI on-line TEAS exam A twice. The first time I choked, and the second time was in the 80's. I am applying to the JJC RN Spring 2015 program. Just curious if there are any other students out there like me getting ready to take the TEAS? :nailbiting:

I took the official TEAS just to get it over with this past Wed. and I did alright on it hopefully it will be enough to get me into the program this coming Spring 15'. I was relaxed most of the time, sometimes I felt like throwing in the towel because it was too long. Although, I got through it. Just put in my application this morning.

I received a 79 on my reading, and a 71 overall composite score.

3.8 GPA with 5/6 Pre-Req's completed.

BIO 250- A

HEAL 109 - A

PSYC 101 - A

PSYC 215 - A

ENG 101 - B

Only thing I have not done is BIO 251, I'm taking that this fall.

Can I ask you KCAmbition, who did you take for BIO 250? Ive been hearing how hard that class is and I cant decide who I should take for it. I wont be ready to take bio 250 for 2 more semester yet but am getting anxious about it already lol.

I'd highly recommend Eva Murdoch for BIO 250 and 251, she is great at explaining things in a way you can understand and she really does care whether you do well. Honestly, if you just study really hard and effectively you can pass the class. Use flashcards and buy mastering A&P those helped me a lot during the class and whenever you read or something actively take notes in and outside of class. Goodluck to you!

By the way, I didn't receive an e-mail and I wonder why that is I know my application went through. Maybe I didn't put the right e-mail in I'll have to call and find out.

I'm aware, I have looked through it and there is no sign of any e-mail from the Nursing department.

Welp got some news today. And long story short, I wont be able to do jjcs nursing program because 50% of my credits wont transfer to loyola after I get ny ADN. I took too many credits and now in order for them all to transfer, I have to go through a university to start my bachelors. :((((((

Lindsay, JJC partners with many colleges to do transfer programs from RN to BSN. My mom graduated from JJC and is now doing her BSN thru Purdue online. She currently works at a hospital as an RN and they are paying for her to do the BSN program. Its definitely much more affordable and there are more different colleges you can look into for your BSN. You would be doing your BSN online after you get your ADN anyway.

Yeah that was my original plan. Im going to have 65 credits by the end of this semester and im just having a hard time finding somewhere that is going to transfer all of them.

After you get your ADN, the transfer schools automatically accept your credits from JJC. That's the neat thing about them partnering with JJC. So as long as you have your degree, you will be fine to choose from a list of schools that you'd automatically qualify for. If you try to find a BSN program now, you may have a hard time transferring all of your credits there, and they may also require additional classes on top of what you already have.

The transfer schools for the rn to bsn will only allow about 40 gen ed transfer credits. And im going to have 65 by the end of this semester. So it just makes more sense that I transfer to a four year in the fall instead

Hello, I'm not sure if anyone is still active in this post but I would like to jump in if possible. This is my first time posting btw. I also took the teas and applied for the spring 15' program. I'm hearing from a lot of students that scores and the number of applicants are low. A good friend of mine studied for almost 2 months and got a 64% comp and 60% reading. I also have a few friends in the program that say many people get in with mid 70's in both reading and comp but they have to have all the prereqs completed. Hopefully all of us will get it but the wait is killing me!
