  1. Hello! I'm a second semester student in the program. Great score on the TEAS, your in! Just prepare for a semester of ups and downs. Stay focused, stay prepared, and let everything roll off your back. I can't give any tips prior to beginning. Just enjoy your free time while you have it now before you start. The teachers really care and are there to help you succeed.
  2. I've been accepted into my CC's spring program for next semester, I will begin my path to becoming an RN. Cannot wait! I had AP II - Most likely will be a B , English 102 - A, Art - B, Statistics - A, Medical Terminology - A
  3. 55% is pretty low, I'd say mid to high 60s is where people usually slide in. Depends on the application pool your applying in and how well they did. So there's no way to answer your question, if your applying for JJC your going to need to retake the TEAS anyhow, so just study hard now until this spring application period than take it. I was accepted for this spring program, and i had a 71 on the teas.
  4. Registration was crazy lol, really hectic but can't wait to get started though. I purchased a jacket and t shirt with the patch because we only have clinics once a week. Does anybody know do you need to wear any extra scrubs when your practicing in the simulation Labs? I have my doctors appointment today, once I get my tests and stuff done I'll turn everything in at once.
  5. Congratulations on finishing! I'm psyched for registration as well just ready to begin but still working to finish this semester out.
  6. Can't really do anything with a Psychology Bachelor's unless your going you have a PhD or Doctorate. My mom is a LPN and my sister is a CNA. They both say it's pros and cons, but do what you feel is right everyone's views are different so find out for yourself that's what I'm doing. I might be cut out for nursing.
  7. Dimensional Analysis wasn't too bad for me! Honestly, I just want all the financial funding for the program early so I can prepare myself and get everything I need early. I found out that paying for the program works the same way.
  8. I feel you man, my mother is an LPN as of now and my sister is a CNA. I've seen them go-to and from work, and hear about the horrible stuff they have to do and how they don't always enjoy it! I'm at a CC right now, and I declared Nursing as my major a year and a half ago and I am now set to begin my ADN schooling this Spring. My first semester I was bobbling between majoring in Biology with a possibility of going Pre-Med, than I shuffled into Nursing. I weighed my options that majoring in a topic like Biology is not bad, but deep down I did not feel like I would ENJOY it enough to put all my effort into as a major nor a job dealing with it everyday. So I went something more career driven like Nursing, which will hopefully get me a good paying job and I have a lot of flexibility after I graduate with my RN to where I want to continue next in my Nursing career. All I can say is, follow your heart and whatever you choose stick to it! Goodluck bruh ALSO, don't do Nursing ONLY for the money I know I have not even began nursing school or have worked in the field yet. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do this just for the paycheck, because we are dealing with peoples lives once we begin to practice Nursing. I've always seen myself as a pretty upstanding, generous, caring person also I have a lot of patience so I feel I can be a very good Nurse in the future. In HS I was always thinking I wanted to be in the medical field, because that's all I really took interested in, nothing else not computers, engineering, business just the medical field.
  9. Why not, might as well would look good in future I'm going to join once my gpa is a 3.5 I'm at a 3.3
  10. Does anybody know how payment goes for the nursing program, is it just like regular classes
  11. I don't think I've received mine yet don't know why, but I personally met with him today to make sure and he told me to respond via JJC E-Mail and not personal email.
  12. I will call and verify everything tomorrow. I know I have questions as well, but I'm so ready for these next two years. Life changing !
  13. Unless someone is willing to switch with you from nights to days, I don't think you can. Call and ask though!
  14. Accepted for days, congratulations to everyone !! Can't wait to meet you all
  15. Are you serious, about them coming out today?
