Impatiently awaiting (HOPEFULLY) acceptance letter

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all! I should be the first to say that I have NO patience; really, none at all. I had my interview in February, and now am waiting to find out if I made the cut. Of course, the deadline isn't even until April 1st, so I do realize that I have quite some time :specs:. I applied to the CTC program, have done all of my pre-reqs, and have also taken all of the non nursing courses in the degree plan (well, I am finishing up A&P II now, and have Microbiology in the summer). My GPA is 3.8, with a 4.0 in the sciences and I passed my HESI on the first time. Does anyone know what kind of chances that leaves me. I know I am freaking out over nothing, but...well, I am sure you know how I feel :banghead:

Me too!!! I've been waiting a VERY long time to hear back from someone about whether or not I even have an interview. My application was submitted in September, but they couldn't make a decision until January because I was still taking a couple of prereqs they needed final grades from in order to make a decision. Well, it's March 23rd and I still haven't heard anything. They're super busy with making decisions for other programs that start earlier, and I get that...I'm just really starting to lose my patience. I need to know!!!

I feel for you! I'm in the same boat and going to the mailbox is getting harder. I'm supposed to find out by April 1st also, but I imagined the letters would have gone out by now. I saw someone here just got their acceptance letter so there's still hope :)

Good luck to you!

Good luck to all of you as well!! It's pretty early for me to be so impatient, but I just can't help it! :)

Have you asked them about it? I applied a LONG time ago, well before I finished my prereqs. Once I finished the last one, A&P I, I called them to touch base and see what else they may need from me. They called around a week later to schedule the interview. Best of luck to you!! I would say be patient, but you see I have NO skills in that department! :)

I think youll get right in! Hang in there. I applied a long time ago as well and just got my aceptance letter!

What's so funny is that the same day I posted my first comment here (March 23rd), I finally received an e-mail from Jefferson saying they want me to come in for an interview! I have it scheduled for Thursday, March 29th at 10am! I have had zero patience for the last two months, but I did my best to distract myself with my prereqs and studying, and doing a lot of research on loans, housing options, etc. just in case I am accepted into the program. You will get your answer soon! Just keep hanging in there! :)

Congratulations Tinman!! That is awesome to hear!

Jocy_anne, god luck on your interview! I'm excited for you! Let us know how it goes :)

After talking to another applicant last night in class, I am more nervous than ever! My school goes with a points system, you get so much for passing the HESI the first time, so much for your nursing program GPA and separate points for your overall science GPA. SO, I passed the HESI the first time, have a 3.8, and science is 4.0....BUT instead of the usual 75ish people applying, it's over 100...they only take 50, 55 at the most! This is going to be a LONG 3 week wait! Haha, I know that I am freaking out over nothing (well, only my future lol), but YIKES!

Anyway, I am pretty encouraged by all of the excited people getting letters and calls being accepted! Great work to you all!!
