Gaining an Edge Before Nursing School

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi,

I recently received an acceptance letter for nursing school. Although classes don't start for another 4 months, I want to prepare in any way that I can as it is an accelerated program. I'm already a certified nurse assistant, so I am familiar with some of the nursing processes and skills. Anyone have any other ideas or tips? Are there any courses or information online that would help me prepare for Pathophysiology and Pharmacology?

Thanks!

These are great suggestions. The only thing I'd add is to make sure you know what learning style suits you best so you can make the most of your studying. Stick to what works for you and is effective regardless of what everyone else does. And enjoy this free time until you start! Best of luck!

You can also volunteer to tutor people in anatomy and physiology to help keep the information fresh in your mind.
