Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Anybody applying to FAMU's nursing program for the spring?

Im reapplying. I didn't make it in for the fall, but I did get an interview so I'm going to reapply.

I will be applying!

Reapplying also !

For proof of foreign language do we have to get a copy of our HS transcripts?

Yes, it must be an official transcript from your high school.

I'm so nervous, I'm sending off my application today! :dead:

Hello Ladies, I see that I am a little late to the discussion. I am also Reapplying. I'm praying that I am admitted into Famu's College of Nursing this time around. October 15th will be here before we know it. I am as nervous as I was when I first applied. What about you all? Whew, I fill a few gray hairs coming in already. The wait is going to be real.

I'm also nervous AGAIN. Hoping I get in this time since I didn't make it in for fall!!

After sitting with the advisor I realize I didn't get in probably because they weigh all colleges and schools and unfortunately my first college gave me failing grades instead of W for the semester I transferred to famu causing my overall gpa to be 2.94 it's so daunting but if I get in this time I am eternally grateful and happy but Dean Norman decides the entry level gpa and if she caps if at 3.0 I'm aware I will again be rejected but I just have to try because it's something I truly want. So being optimistic and prayerful is where I am currently on this journey... But this is my last time applying so I pray i

get in :) they only want us to apply 2x's and I already have my bachelors this is my career change altogether so I pray pray pray God sees fit to allow me into the program

Kennabenna88 you should do an accelerated nursing program if she caps the GPA at 3.0 since you already have a bachelors. Many schools have that program! But I'm pretty sure this time you will get it just continue to have faith and it's good that you talked with them to find out!!

Trust and believe I'm looking into it... I have a job in the career path I aim to take as a psychiatric mental health DNP. I work alongside nurses and doctors in my field and the experience is well worth it ... If i am not admitted I will go to southern regional technical college for my ASN and continue to get my direct patient care hours in order to become a Physicians assistant which is a 2 year program so

i can make money and still ultimately pursue my endeavors. But the pay between ASN and BSN is not too drastic for me to keep getting denied famu even tho they have my heart I am much too old lol I am 27 and ready to be done schooling !
