Did anyone think that A&P II was an easier course than A&P I?

There is a rumor in my school stating that A&P II is an easier course to take than A&P I. I (of course) am hoping this is correct, but I just don't know. For anyone out there who has already taken both A&P classes, did you believe that A&P II was an easier course to take than A&P I? Also, is there any tips you can pass down to me, so I can get the most efficient grade possible?

i found II much easier. A&P I was harder because the topics were jumpy/jerky to learn and didn't "flow" for me. II followed a "path" in my mind. thats the best i can explain it. i actually went 3 grades higher (not my grades but a c to a b, or a b- to a A-) so you can kinda see II was easier for me. same teacher for both classes, so i have to say it was the material that made the dif. that and the fact i was taking 1 other class w/ A&P II while w/ A&P I it was one of 4 classes. plus i used 'magic notes' in II which i didn't have in I so those def helped. I believe a&p II was easier but that was because of the professor which was crazy because both professor of the two a&p classes were friends...lol my a&p I professor would pop up in my a&pII class and everthing and I took a&pII two years after taking a&p I and went from a C+ to an A- in the two coures!!! I thought that the Endocrine, Lymphatic and Nervous systems were challenging, fun, but challenging!

Good luck to those going to Micro-I just finished that this Fall...finished w/an 86%! A LOT of info-but was very interesting when we got into the actual diseases-which was at the end of the course!

Onto Nursing School starting tomorrow!

Absolutely not!!!! A&P I was much easier than A&P II lol. That was one tough class and the instructor didn't make it any easier but still pulled an A+.

Thank you for all of your replies! :heartbeat There seems to be a good blend of mixed reviews. While some feel as if Anatomy was easier due to the memorization of body parts, others had to work a little harder trying to put information together in Physiology (and vice versa). I personally didn't have too much trouble memorizing the bones and tissues of the human body. I found that quite interesting. From what I have gathered from your comments, I believe that I will have to pay closer attention to A&P II. I think this course will be a challenge for me. Thank you again for your responses! :)

I have the Anatomy & Physio for Dummies and the Cliffs books and they helped me a ton, You can try buying them cheap from Amazon used.

I took Human & Science of the Body online with Bradley Bio-119. I am ready for A&P I and feel confident. I know she dabbled

on all systems which is also in A&P II. I feel that this course gave me a strong foundation so I think A&P will be a lot easier for me.

A&P II was easier for me, and I liked it better even though I took it with the hardest teacher in the faculty. You still have to memorize a lot, but this time will be more physiology than anatomy :).

I did better in A/P II than A/P I. I liked learning about the physiology of the body better because I think with anatomy, it's more like memorizing.:sleep:

UPDATE:

I just found out that I passed A&P II this semester. From my experience A&P II was more challenging than A&P I. I do not mind trying to memorize bones and tissues. In fact, the little anatomy that we did in A&P II was the easiest part of taking the course for me. I enjoyed learning about blood, the digestive system, the urinary system and the reproductive system, but just learning all those extra small, minor details were mind-blowing!!! I will be taking microbiology in the fall, I believe I now know what kind of studytime I will need to put in. Thanks for all your comments and replies!

Part 2 is much easier. Once you know the anatomy, the physiology falls into place easily.
