B's in Human AP but a 3.5 GPA

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

So I finished this semester with B's in both Human Anatomy I & II. However, I have a 3.5 GPA and i'm going to take my HESI exam sometime next week and hopefully score AT LEAST an 80. What are my chances of getting into Nursing school? I have already submitted an application. I also have B's in both Chemistry I & II. I have yet to take Microbiology but this time I will definitely get an A. Are my chances pretty slim to get into nursing school or should I not even worry about that?

You have a 43% chance of being accepted.

Honestly, there's no way we can give you that. All you can do is apply and hope for the best. The wider your net, the better.

Aim for As in anything you have left (even if it means slowing down), and work to get the highest possible score on the HESI.

Good luck!

Some schools turn away applicants with 4.0 averages, others do not. Since we do not know what schools you are anticipating applying to, nor do we work in the admissions department for those nursing programs, we can not advise you. Suggest you make an appointment with the advisors for the programs that you are considering. They will be better able to inform you of your chances to enter their respective programs. Good luck.

Well, I did get accepted. :) I have a 3.5 GPA and an 84 on the HESI A2. So yay me!!!
