  1. Agree 1000000000000%. Some people complain about "cliques", others complain that the work is too hard and that "I feel like this should be done like this. It's much easier." and blah blah blah....the list goes on and on. But in the end, you are in school for YOURSELF. Don't waste too much time complaining about what other people do and instead GO STUDY!
  2. I am looking for any advice that anyone can give me on how to do well with my exams. I have a foundations exam coming up next week and if I DO NOT MAKE AT LEAST A 75 I WILL FAIL THE COURSE. I have tried studying for hours and hours days at a time and the only payoff I was able to get off of doing that was a 74 in my last exam. Also, I studied for hours and hours for about 8 days before a patho exam and only managed to get a 78, while other people "only studied during the weekened" and got As. Clearly, I am doing something wrong. Any advice??????????? It will be GREATLY appreciated!!!
  3. Interesting, let me try that. Let's see what learning style the questionnaire most likely pairs me up with. I'll try that for my test next week. I can't afford to fail it because it's game over for me. I want to do something about it now that it's still early in the week.
  4. That's what I used for the last exam that I took and ended up failing it. I took all those practice quizzes until the questions started repeated themselves and I found no use for them after that. I don't know if I just memorized the actual question rather than the concept......
  5. Ok, so I have 3 weeks left of my first semester of nursing school. I am barely, barely getting by! I just don't know how to study anymore. I have tried relying solely on the book to no avail. I've tried relying solely on the powerpoint slides to no avail. I've tried practicing tons of practice questions still to no avail. I am running out of ideas of how to study or what to do? I know people say, "study the concepts." I mean I do! But, why is it not clicking? I have never done this bad in any of my other college courses. I read and read and honestly feel like it's a waste of time I could be doing other things that will actually help me on the exams. But what???? Any tips anybody can give me?! I would hate to fail nursing school on the first semester.
  6. Thanks guys for the information. I'm excited to begin the program and i'll really trying to prepare myself for it. Any advice on how to prepare for nursing school?
  7. Wow! So as of right now my "schedule" looks like this: M:9-12 Tues:10-3 W:9-12. So, somewhere during the week they'll fit in those extra hours (6hrs & 4hrs)?
  8. Really???.... There's another class that says: Tuesdays: 10AM-12PM. But, it also says: 3.000 Credit Hours 2.000 Lecture Hours 4.000 Lab Hours I'm guessing the same applies to this?
  9. I don't know why the picture didn't post. But the picture says this: 5.000 Credit Hours 3.000 Lecture hours 6.000 Lab Hours Why is it a 5 credit hour course and the schedule states Wednesdays from 9AM-12PM? Will I be in class for more than 3 hours?
  10. I will begin the nursing program in Spring of '16. However, i was checking out the schedule for next year and there is one class that says Wednesdays from 9-12. However I found this on the website: my question is, how much time will I actually spend in a classroom? Help anyone?....
  11. I used this book to prepare for the HESI A2: Admission Assessment Exam Review / Edition 3 by HESI | 9781455703333 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble It's not so bad. I personally though that TEAS V was MUCH harder. I scored a 77% on the TEAS V whereas on the HESI A2 I scored an 84%. And the application deadline for Fall 2015/Spring 2016 has passed. This year, the University of North Georgia has started a 2016 Cohort in Gainesville. But the deadline to apply for Spring 2016 has applied. To being school in Fall 2016/Spring 2017 you would have to apply to the Nursing program THIS Fall 2015. Hope this info helps!!!
  12. Well, I did get accepted. :) I have a 3.5 GPA and an 84 on the HESI A2. So yay me!!!
  13. I will be done will all my pre-req's this semester. I have a 3.54 GPA and I got an 84% on the HESI A2 exam.
  14. I got accepted as well in the 2016 Gainesville Campus!!! Congrats to everyone who got accepted!!!!!
  15. I don't think it means anything. It's probably just an information session.
