So I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row to apply to nursing school next year, I have only started to do research on nursing schools in my area, I am not able to relocate for school so I am looking at the options near home. I found a couple great colleges where I can obtain my ADN, however I did a little further research on the Texas Board of Nursing website and found out one of the schools nursing programs has a warning from the BON, what does this mean? Can anyone help?? Thanks in advance!

In order to help you we need to know the name of the school or if you can provide the information form the BON so members can help you sort this out.

The name of the school is Lonestar College- kingwood

The Texas BON website has a fairly new feature called the Education Dashboard where you can view some details about any BON-approved program in the state. You can see a school's contact info, BON approval status, types of accreditation, recent NCLEX pass rates and things like that. Thanks EricJ for the update. I was not aware of this new feature. OP you might post this under the Texas forum. (On the yellow bar>U.S.> States).

Also, I see you are about 27 miles from Houston, lucky you. Try Houston.

Thanks Eric!!!

Apparently, OP is in the Houston metro area. If so, she needs to know that ADNs grads are welcomed in non-acute settings but most hospitals are only hiring BSN grads.
