Anyone waiting for admission Spring 2010?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I didn't see a thread for Spring, just Fall. I'm waiting on acceptance to an ADN program for Spring '10. Got a letter saying my application file was complete a week or two ago......now I just wait.......and pray!

I'm going for Fall 2010 but I figured I'd just respond anyway lol. Did you already finish all of your pre-reqs?

Applications won't be ready till January for the Spring 2010 LPN program (I'm doing the LPN-RN bridge). All I need to get out of the way is A&P I & II and Psych II. I'm dreading the 3 month wait before I find out, lol. I can't wait, it'll be awhile before I know but I pray I get in!

Applications for my school don't start until Sept.1 in order to start classes in Jan. so I will not apply until then. I have all of my Pre req except 3 classes and I will be taking them in the fall so they will be completed before I would start in Jan. That means I will just have to concentrate on my nursing classes so I will be in good shape I hope. I also hope that means I have a really good chance of getting accepted. Good luck to everyone.

I'm waiting. My school's letters go out in mid-July and the suspense is killing me! I'll be done with all my pre-reqs except for one (A&P ll) when I start in the spring (IF I get in). I'm so excited but I feel like I'm about to go crazy. The nursing coordinator said there were over 400 applicants for the spring semester at my school!

Oh well, I've busted my butt the past 2 semesters and it's out of my hands now.

Good Luck to you all! I don't think anyone understands the stress we are all under except for each other! Thanks for all you guy's support! Hopefully in a few weeks we can all start an "Accepted for Spring 2010!" thread!!

Applicant deadline for Spring '10 was/is July 1 for me. I don't have all pre-req's. I'm taking my math this summer (online) and I will take A&P I and NAA 100 (nurse aid/CNA) in the Fall.

I've already done Speech, Writing I and II, History (heritage/humanity credit), Psych I & II, which are all required to graduate, but not all as pre-reqs. I will take Medical Micro Summer '10. Unfortunately I will have to take A&P II during my first semester of Nursing....:uhoh21: I'm sure I can manage though.

Trying to get most of the gen eds out of the way so I can focus on Nursing!!

I think we are on the same schedule, LOL! I'm taking A&P l this fall with developmental Psych, and writing 2. Then all I have left is A&P ll in the spring and I'm also planning on doing Micro in the summer (I really don't want to deal with in while taking nursing courses. I've got 2 small kids so I don't want to overwhelm myself).

My advisor said this was the best way to set myself up for sucess in Nursing school, and I agree.

Good Luck. I just turned in mine yesterday for Spring 2010, but I don't have Micro done yet (I will once classes start, but not by the app deadline) and the advisor said chances aren't that great unless all pre-req's are completed prior to applicaton time :-( What school are you going for?

We are in Western Kentucky....WKCTC. There are only just over 400 applicants and we are appointed based on a points scale that awards points for GPA, Residency, 12 non-developmental credit hours, and NLN/ACT scores......you don't have to have pre-reqs completed as long as they are done by the start of Spring semester:D

I got into a BSN program starting Spring semester of 2010. :) I am actually kind of glad it worked out this way, I'll get a little bit of a break between finishing pre reqs/getting my AA and starting the nursing program.
