Anyone do nursing school with a toddler?

Hello. I'm a stay at home mom to a 2 year old and I'm thinking about becoming an lpn. My husband works full time m-f so I want to find an evening and/or weekend program. Has anyone done this with a little one at home? We don't want to put him in daycare and honesty can't afford it right now. Thanks.

My kids were 2, 4 and 6 years old when I went through the LPN program. I had started RN pre-reqs the year before that. (never found a bridge program yet) It sucked but I did it. My husband worked mon-sat swing shifts so we had to use a family friend to watch the kids when needed. I wasnt the only one in the program with kids.

I have a 15 month old! I am doing a part time program because of work and my son. It's a lot of work but can definitely be done. I study in the evenings after he is asleep and I make flashcards to take with me when I go places and have 15 minutes here and there to spare! A lot of the other people in my program have children.

I have a 1 and 4 year old and I am working on the prereqs at Rio Salado for the nursing program. I'm half way done with the prereqs and can apply for the RN program in April. My husband works evenings so once I get to the nursing blocks I will take morning classes and we may do daycare on clinical days if they land on the day he works. We don't want to daycare at all and never have in the four years we've had children however we have talked about it and if we have to do it once a week just to get through the program to create a better life for them in the long run, then we will. You can do it! just try to do all your prereqs online. If I can do it, you can.
