A&P1 & Microbio

  1. 0
As of right now i am taking Biology and Algebra Math. During summer I, I'll be taking Life Span: Psychology and during summer II, I'll be taking Medical Terminology. I'll be taking Anatomy & Physiology 1 and Microbiology at the same time in Fall 2013. I'll only be taking these 2 courses and working part time.

Will A&P1 and Microbio be too hard or too stressful for me to handle?
Is there anything I need to know or do before taking these 2 courses?
What should I pre-study before class actually starts?

I really want to be prepared because I would like to earn A's in both classes; B's at the lowest.

Also in Spring 2014, I will be taking Anatomy & Physiology 2 and Statistics Math. Should I be worried about taking those 2 classes together?

    Thanks! (:
    Any advice would be helpful.

I'm taking A&P I and Microbiology together right now, along with 4 other classes (College Algebra, English Comp II, Psychology of Development, and Biomedical Ethics) and I'm doing just fine. If you put in the time and effort it takes to pass the classes, I don't see why it would be an issue. Only you know how much you can handle, however.

I'm also taking A&P I and Micro together (I'm also working part time and taking a math and technical writing course.) I find that a lot of the material is overlapping to an extent. I mean they're both biological sciences and my micro class is really heavy in disease of the body.

In my honest opinion, I think being able to pull off A's now while in heavy course loads will better prepare you for the rigourous coursework of nursing school. I mean, the first semester of the BSN program I plan on going into is 5 HARD classes. So, 2 is a breeze!

You should do fine, just study every day! Start out strong so you don't struggle once the semester continues on & the material gets harder. There's a book called Get Ready for A & P.. that may help prepare you before you start A & P 1 in the fall.
