A&P I Spring 2013

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I did not see another thread, so I thought I would start one for fellow students to chat and get support. Anyone else taking A&P I this spring?

Hi guys! I have been SLAMMED with school work and ended up picking up a part time job. I was so excited to see that you all were doing so wonderfully in your classes! You go!

In great news, I have an A in A&P (And in micro AND in math!) So I am working it out this semester.

I just had my muscle test today. It was our first week back from spring break, and I have to admit, I didn't study over the break week. I was really happy I enjoyed my time off though. I studied all night for the test today, and I felt likeI knocked it out of the park! I really hope I got an A on this exam. I've been getting 89.whatever%'s for the past couple tests. I hate not being able to break an A on these darn exams! (I've done all the extra credit though and thus far it's kept me at an A!) I don't think anyone in my class has gotten 100% on anything!

We are starting muscle physiology next class. We just did muscle anatomy last week, so now we get to learn how muscles work. Keep going strong you guys, I'm so proud of all of you!

Specializes in Psychiatry.

Glad to hear you're still around and doing great! An A is an A!

Just took my skeletal practical. I underestimated it but I think i pulled off it off. Hope it's graded by the Monday.

Hey everyone!..Just took the second exam covering the integumentary system, osseous tissue, & the skeletal system on the 27th. I didn't feel as prepared as I should have, but the answers came to me pretty easily,so I'm expecting a high B.(but hopefully an A! :-D ) The bone markings lab practical is on Monday, so I'm hoping that goes just as well!....I'm also starting a new F/T job on the 1st. Fun,fun, fun! Great to hear that things are looking good for everyone!

Look at you bouncing back for the win! Glad to hear you're doing so well! I'm gonna be job hunting for a part time gig myself either this week or next so I totally can see how that's got u busy.

Keep at it everyone! I see the finish line. Thank God :)

Cadaver lab tomorrow. My first time, so I'm a bit excited and very nervous. I made sure to pack an old shirt, gloves, and some vapor rub lol.

Holy mother of muscle physiology and sliding filament theory.

This part of the course is so conceptual I'm totally having to change the way I study. Any audio/visual learners have tips for nailing for conceptual material? I'm trying to come up with a "story" I can tell myself to get all this stuff down!

I don't really have any tips :( I just relistened to the lecture to help make it stick. The nervous system is currently killing me and giving me anxiety. I can't wait until summer!

I'm a visual learner, and watching animations and videos on YouTube really helped me learn sliding filament theory. That part of muscles was tough!

I have a study guide over that. Just the questions. I asked my teacher for help and she gave me the study guide. I think it helps.

Just got an A on my muscle quiz today. Muscle practical on Monday and I'm feeling confident about it :)
