Hi,
I'm done with almost all my Nursing Prerequisites, but I still need A&P 2 and Microbiology before I can start my practical. Problem is I'm sick, and can't attend classes as of right now. I'm in a four year college and I'm trying to take both courses in the summer semester. Does anyone know where I can take this classes online? Preferably a school in Pennsylvania, because I don't want to pay an out-of-state tuition.

Your thread has been moved to our Pre-Nursing Student forum. Hopefully someone will come along and chime in with some suggestions on schools with online science courses in your state. Good luck to you.

Check to see if your school even accepts online courses for these subjects. The school I'm applying to specifically states the A&P prereqs can't be completed online.

I am not familiar with the Pennsylvania area but I will tell you that schools for the most part want a lab with the science courses. You cannot complete a lab online. The best you can do is take a hybrid like I am doing for Chemistry. This means I do the lecture part online, and the lab portion in person. Your best bet is to check with your school's policy on the matter.

You can complete labs online. Both of my A&P courses were online and labs were online and they were offered by the same school my nursing program will be at.
It mostly comes down to making sure with your potential nursing school that the credits will be accepted, and doing the research to find the online classes.
If you feel like paying out of state tuition (almost $400 per credit hour), check out my college, Saint Petersburg College.
