UCSF MEPN Applicants for 2010 entry

I personally havent had time to stress about whether I'll get in or not too too much because I have so many more apps Ive had to get ready and am still doing. Im using the carpet bombing technique and just hoping I get lucky. I have to admit though, I have been compulsively checking my application status on the UCSF website even though I know very well It is still going to say UNDER REVIEW in big red letters... good luck to everyone in this years emotional rollercoaster that is Nursing apps.

Hello everyone. I also applied to UCSF and the waiting is killing me. UCSF is my first choice, but I know the competition is tough. I also applied to Yale, Columbia, and University of Hawaii. They all have the same prerequisites, except University of Hawaii doesn't required the GRE and application is not due until Jan. 2 BTW I applied for FNP. Good luck everyone!

I am glad I found this thread! I have applied to UCSF for the FNP track. I have also applied to other programs at Yale, UPenn, Columbia, and Western. I am so nervous, and can't believe it is almost time to find out about interviews! Wishing everyone the best of luck during this long process.

I'm soooo sad... I just got a letter from UCSF saying that I have missing documents, and that they closed my application. I checked online, and it says my transcript from SFSU was not received... but the UCSF website says that they contact applicants if something is "deficient/missing" & give us an opportunity to rectify the situation. I was not given any notice?!!! And, earlier in the forum, people were saying that their status on some of their transcripts said "unavailable," but not to worry b/c other applicants of past years had the same thing & were accepted anyways... Oh what to do... UCSF was my top choice, and I don't even get a chance now? Now, I'm afraid of all my other applications for other schools...

That is so sad! Have you tried talking to someone in admissions? If the website says they contact you if documents are missing, I would think that you have some wiggle room? I can commiserate with you, today I received an email from Yale requesting an additional recommendation. It definitely sent a wave of panic through me.

I hope you can work something out!

Did you hear that somewhere?? I know someone currently in the program and she heard on December 22nd that she got an interview. The applications were due a month earlier this year, but I don't know if that is going to translate into finding out any earlier or not. I think that the earlier deadline was most likely in anticipation of more applicants Keep us updated if anyone hears anything!

Thanks for the kind words/cyber support, psitsrachel. I hope your Yale app is okay too. I sent an email & left a vmail last Friday w/ UCSF. No word yet. I will go to their office within the next week. Too busy right now w/ finals, work, and moving into a new apt. Good luck to everyone still in the running...

Has anyone recieved an interview invitation letter? The suspense is killing me!!

Not yet!! Some people I know who applied last year didn't find out about interviews until late december...around the 22nd! I hope we don't have to wait that long!
