Chamberlain College Of Nursing- FNP program

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

I am researching online MSN programs and have narrowed it down to 2-3 and I was wandering if anyone has gone through the Chamberlain College online program for FNP. If so any advice would be helpful. Did you like the program? If not Why? Would you recommend an online program for a MSN?

Hi dawnbidd!

I also was recently accepted to the FNP program at Chamberlain and start in May! I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

All info from those who are currently in the program is appreciated. Has anyone had trouble finding preceptors yet? I figure I'd better start looking for mine ahead of time.

Have you heard anything about the DNP program as far as retention. I start in May. Its the grading rubric pretty clear. Let me know if you have heard anything? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I just completed my application for the May start date. Just waiting on my transcripts from WES... Looking forwArd to meeting my online classmates :)

SPJJMommy...with taking the classes they way you are, how long will the entire program be for you? I am looking into switching to Chamberlain because I have a huge amount of group work in my current program and I do not like it. I saw somewhere that Chamberlain's program was 2 years but when you look at the curriculum on the website it's around 2 1/2 years.

Thanks!

That's correct 2.5 years unless u double up

I completed my MSN in nursing education at Chamberlain and loved it. I was accepted into the FNP program too but; A) I don't want another MSN, I want a DNP and B) I don't want the hassle of finding my own clinical site/preceptors. I did that with my LPN-BSN program at Indiana State and it was a royal pain. It's just too stressful and time-consuming on top of everything else you have to do. Just my 0.02

How did you combine the subjects? Please give further advice. Taking my first class but planning to double up after this NR500.

Thank you

Starting the program 10/27. Super excited and nervous! Did you find the online structure hard to navigate? I've only ever done in class programs do I'm kinda nervous about just starting and not knowing where to find everything.

If you double up classes, does that mean you can take your courses in any order that you choose (minus the ones that accompany your clinicals)?

I am also a little confused on the books. When you purchase the online class, does that include your online book? I saw that hard copies were optional, and that book costs were factored into tuition.

TIA for any help :)
