UCF Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone else applying to the Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN cohort at the University of Central Florida? It seems like it is taking forever for the actual application to open up (January 1).

Hoping to see some other folks just as excited as I am!!

Did everyone else have to pay another time for fingerprints once you have an appointment?

I spoke to Charlenne via email she said it should take 24-48 hours to be reviewed but that a lot of us are in the same boat and it's pemding. She'll get them 1-3 days once they're complete, so I recommend doing it ASAP once approved. She also said that she could see me in the system and knew I was working toward getting it done which is the important part. Don't fret yet guys! I'm trying not to myself, but sounds like we're just over anxious since we don't want anything to mess our chance up.

You shouldn't need to pay... I put in the verification code and it skipped a payment screen

Hi Lanntis, does CPR CERTIFICATE have any special requirements? Do we have to get certified through certain association? Thanks.

Hey guys! I had a change of heart and decided to accept another program's offer at the last second. Basically gave all of my friends and family whiplash but when you know, you know! Just wanted to say best of luck to those in the program and to those in the waitlist, I know at least one spot is opening up! Good luck to all I'm sure everyone here will one day be a fantastic nurse. :)

It doesn't. You can take the ones ucf will schedule in the college of nursing , or you can do your own with some other company. All that matters is you upload your card when it's time. Some of you guys are way overstressing. It's all the type A personalities! My cohort is super highstrung and type A spazzy, don't give us a run for the title. Haha.

Submit your documentation as you get it done, do your fingerprints , and Charlenne is really really good at her job. She will let you know if there's something you haven't done, that she wants done NOW.

No one's chances are in jeapordy. You guys that are accepted are in, embrace it, fall into the organized chaos and just try to enjoy the journey. I'm seeing lots of stress on here, still. There are deadlines, sure. You won't be thrown out of nursing school if things are taking a few days to turn around with paperwork with castle branch. Again, re-emphasizing patience and know that Charlenne keeps track of all her students and will inform you if there's some impending crisis you're missing.

I hope this helps! Fiona, this wasn't directed at you specifically just a general calming message while answering your CPR question. I did my CPR class I believe April 11th for my certificate, there are multiple days you'll be able to sign up for the required certification. :)

Lanntis, thank you so much for all this information again haha. I think I will just wait for UCF to open up the classes. Speaking about Charlenne, she sent us an email again and told us not to be worried about anything lol. It's so nice to have you here. Thank you for your time and patience with us haha.

I died when I read the email from Charlenne yesterday. We're all type A and driving them nuts. Gotta stay calm. We got in... hardest part is over!!

Charlenne doesn't miss a beat. My cohort already drives everyone crazy with our panicked , stressed out 24/7 personalities. Haha. You guys be the calm group, so they can take a break!! Jk.

Hey guys I received a call from UCF today saying that the registration for Summer semester orientation is open.. should we go ahead to do the orientation or just wait for Charlenne's email? Thanks.
