Is anyone else applying to the Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN cohort at the University of Central Florida? It seems like it is taking forever for the actual application to open up (January 1).
Hoping to see some other folks just as excited as I am!!
It's nearly always been the 8th the last few years, and I know who pulls the trigger and when! I'm not boasting, I just want to put you all at ease somewhat. lol. 2nd week of March. After that, people have 1 week (which is not a lot of time) to accept or not, and then those that don't accept will start giving those positions to wait listers. If you are very low on the wait list, the email will essentially "kindly" tell you to start looking at alternatives. If you get that one, go apply to seminole or valencia concurrent asap for back up. If you get the one that says, there's a decent chance then you're high up on the waiting list! Don't call them to ask what number you are though, they will say "NO." lol. Hopefully all of you on here are "Congratulations!" though
Hey Lanntis, thank you for all of your comments throughout the whole application process and for keeping us updated!
I was waitlisted and I have RSVP'd my seat in case one opens up. My email did not mention anything about looking for alternatives, so I'm hoping i'm higher up on the waiting list! My main concern is that the email I received back for the RSVP stated that wait listing status can remain up to the week that classes start on May 14th. Is this typical? I would assume waitlisters would find out in a week as you mentioned

It can indeed happen all the way up until the start of the program! Some of the most epic members of my cohort came off the waiting list at the last minute! So don't give up hope. If it's getting near deadline for seminole or Valencia concurrent through, I would caution you to apply there as well so you have backups regardless of whether ucf contacts you. That was my plan, I didn't want to get caught not in nursing school for another year.
The email I got had me rsvp and sAid to wait for more info. I can't figure out the fb thing and I'm super confused as to whether or not I'm supposed to be getting fingerprints, etc. anyone able to help?
You should be getting another email soon regarding the fingerprints.. probably tomorrow since you just got invited today
Hi All!!! I'm new to the forum, and super excited to see that you guys already have a supportive network in place. I received an invite to the program and RSVP'd, but haven't heard anything back yet. Still trying to sort out all the CastleBranch stuff, which seems to go pretty slowly, so I really hope to get my results in on time.
Hey everyone! I emailed Charlenne this morning to double check that my RSVP had been received. She said that everyone should've gotten an auto response right after sending in their reply and then the email about Castle Branch. I went ahead and told her that several of us did not receive the auto response. She said that she has been recording the RSVP's herself so she's confident she's gotten all of ours. If you want to double check with her you can, but she at least knows that some of us weren't getting the auto email!
