OHSU 2018 Waitlist // Alternate List

Hello Everyone!

I thought I'd start a thread for those who applied to OHSU for the 2018 year and were placed on the alternate list. My hope is that we can semi- keep track of wait list movement on this forum.

I applied to the Ashland campus for the ABSN and the BSN programs. I was waitlisted as "highly likely" for the ABSN, and I have not heard from the BSN program yet.

Anyone else out there?

Hello!

I applied to the ABSN Portland Campus. I was waitlisted as "highly likely"!

I also got accepted to Linfield's ABSN program, but they need to know by May 1st if I want to attend there to hold my spot.

Fingers are crossed that I hear from OHSU before then!!!

Congrats on your acceptance to Linfield! Based on previous years, it seems that many "highly likely" alternates hear back starting in mid April. Which program are you leaning towards, if you could choose?

Thank you! That is great news to hear because I am definitely leaning towards OHSU! If I hear from OHSU before May 1st, I won't have to pay the non-refundable fee to Linfield to secure a spot "just in case". I called OHSU and they do not give out numbers as far as placement on the alternate list unfortunately...Good luck to you!!!

I'm also on the alternate list as "highly likely". I've called a few times and they've told me that they will likely start making movement from the alternate list in the first weeks of April as the accepted students have until April 2nd to respond to their acceptance letter. Admissions will make phone calls first and then follow up with an email. She also explained to me that they use previous years alternate lists to determine their "highly likely" "moderately likely" and "somewhat likely" status, which makes sense. I'm currently enrolled at Linfield in my first semester but will switch over to OHSU if I'm moved from the alternate list. Waiting game is terrible!

Hi, could you clarify exactly what you mean by this?

I'm down here in "moderately likely", so honestly not expecting much but am trying to get clarification.

Hi Everyone -

Yesterday (4/13) I got an email admitting me into the Ashland ABSN Summer 2018 program! I was highly likely on the waitlist. So for those who are still waiting - they are making moves down the list!

I got placed on the "moderately likely" list for bsn Ashland campus:( pretty sad does anyone know of anybody who has moved from moderately likely to accepted?

I was placed as "somewhat likely" (ugh) for the BSN at the Ashland campus. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!!
